Australia is blessed with some of the word's most beautiful Parrots. From raucous Cockatoos to the little Bourkes Parrots, in this short film we see them in their wild environments.
I have filmed over 50 species of Parrot in the wild and hope to continue this series, showcasing the Parrots of Australia.
The distances between locations are often 1000's of KLM's and the vast interior seems to have a unlimited horizon. This Video showcases some of the highlights of my travels throughout these amazing places.
Species list here:
Gang gang Cockatoo
Galah
Eastern Rosella
Green Rosella
King Parrot
Eastern Bluebonnet
Swift Parrot
Turquoise Parrot
Superb Parrot
Glossy-black Cockatoo

Absolutely beautiful thank you for sharing 💕💕💕💕
Much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed these gems.
Beautiful birds. Parrots and parakeets seem to be the most common birds in Australia. Our only native Carolina Parakeet died out over 100 years ago here in Florida.
Thanks so much. There are some common Parrots here but many are declining and some in real trouble. I hope we can save their plight.
@@TimSiggs hope they recover, meanwhile keep sharing them. I love parrots. South Florida has many different kind of parrots but they're all established escapees.
Hi Tim, great work mate, thanks for sharing your passion with us. We appreciate the many hours of dedication to bring these beautiful Australian Parrots to the screen in stunning 4K. Saw my first ever pair of Gang Gangs during my last trip to the Snowies. Managed to get 3 shots before they took off. Keep this wonderful content coming my friend. Cheers Phil
Thanks for your kind words Phil. Glad you git to see the Gang Gangs, they are so unique and special. Look forward to seeing your next production.
Some 50 years ago eating Christmas lunch , I mentioned that it would be nice to see an Eastern Rosella the size of a cockatoo. The father in law said that there was a flock of about 20 coming to the area of Mansfield Vic. every year . I told him to let me know when they are back . A year later he told me that the birds are back , but it was on a Sunday and I had to go to work the next day ,so I couldn't go . Then maybe 4 years later ,a workmate told me that he had seen a flock of 20 plus ,the size of Cockatoos in the area of Cheshunt Upper King Valley Vic. Maybe the birds are escapee's and were breeding somewhere.
As probably the world's biggest parrot fan, my face lit up seeing this video. Love your content, especially when its parrot related :)
Great to hear that you are the best Parrot fan in the world!! I too love this family and hope to produce more content soon.
Great video 🙌
Thanks Franz
Luv the Gang Gang my favourite cocky❤❤
They are very special and cute. That pastel Pink helps!
Great shots there.
I'm looking forward to the Gang-gangs returning to this neck of the woods. They ought to arrive around October. The Gang-gang is declining sadly, but at least there's one group which makes its way here.
A pair of King Parrots have decided they'll be regular visitors. The other day, just as they were finishing the small amount of seed I put out, two lorikeets turned up. The Red Wattlebird was very annoyed about the threat to its Banksias and Grevilleas so there was squabble between it and a lorikeet.
I love to hear about other peoples experiences with their local birds. Always interesting. Thanks.
Hello Tim, we spent a few hours together in Switzerland with the wallcreepers... Here you have many and interesting birds in Australia. Great shots. Best regards
Many thanks and so nice to keep in contact. We are certainly blessed with so many incredible birds here for sure. Lots more to come. Best Regards,
Awesome Tim!! Always amazing!! 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers as always.
Glossy blacks at the end just stunning
Agreed, such gentle birds.
Thank you for the beautiful, detailed photography of some of Australia's parrots.
This past week, a male King Parrot accompanied by four smaller parrots with green (rather than red) heads visited my yard. I had read that the female and juvenile King Parrots have a green head, so I thought they might be mum and three bubs (although the time of year seems odd to me). However, when they flew from one feeding station to another, I saw that one (only) had a wide band of bright yellow at the ends of the wings. Now I'm puzzled. Any thoughts?
Thanks Liz. Which approximate area are you in?
@@TimSiggs Sorry, Tim. I'm in West Gippsland, Victoria, which I should have mentioned.
Have you ever sighted or photographed a Coxen's fig parrot?
I, along with a few others believe we have seen them but to the best of my knowledge, no photos' exist.
Was a confirmed sighting in a remnant of littoral rainforest coastal vine thicket in the late 90s at Moore Park. That is the only confirmed sighting I have heard about in my neck of the woods. Their existence in the coastal scrub remnants probably much less likely now with all the coastal development that has occurred in last 20 years. Thanks for replying.
