Hi Tim, a wonderful third installment to your celebration of Australian Birdsongs. Some really nice shots and audio capture there mate. Hope you are well, look forward to chatting again sometime. Cheers Phil
Thanks Phil, got to love the different songs and calls. So many species to film and the songs are a bonus. Yes, really looking forward to a catch up. Ready when you are !!
My father was a logger and we loved every moment we spent in the bush. He shared the experience and the love of the entire system. I can say I have listened to the Eastern Whip bird so many times but never knowingly seen it. I always associated the Whip bird call with checking for leaches. lol. Your sound recording is amazing and I am only listening on my phone. Great work and thanks for sharing. 🫡✨☮️🇦🇺
What a great concert. Thank you for an opportunity to enjoy beautiful bird's voices. It's impossible to say which bird is the best singer. Bright colourful Robins are so cute.
Tim, this is wonderful. Thank you so much. My Mum was a dedicated birdwatcher on the mid north coast and we had lots of birds on our one acre property where I had planted native trees. I love hearing their song. One of my all time favourites is the Grey Shrike Thrush. I had a pair who nested every year in a hanging pot plant on my back veranda. They were very trusting. Oh! And the Yellow Robin was also a regular visitor and very tame.
Glad you enjoyed it and thankyou for your story. I am convinced that a world without bird sounds would be absolute misery. I agree that the Grey shrikethrush is amazing and I have a documentary about these and other songsters being edited.
Just loved this! Probably not very original to say that the Eastern Whipbird's song is my fave - & I guess I probably wouldn't want to hear it non-stop - but for the time it was showcased here, I was hooked! All the different robins was fun. Need to have them all lined up on a branch. The pink robin made me think of a little piece of candy, but the yellow and flame were my faves. Thank you again, Tim! 🤩
@@TimSiggs Wow I can't imagine the work that goes into it and that is why I appreciate it so much. Many people would never see these wonderful creatures if it was not for people like you!
thank you Tim. was this captured in south-east Queensland. That's where I live and so many of these bird calls are sounding so familiar. it's amazing to be able to match the bird calls to bird because I don't always see the bird that is making the call.
Hello Tim,a very beautiful movie of you and great quality images!!! Most people will chose the Eastern Whipbird like i do and also a very good sound recording of you.May i ask what body and lens you are using? Greetings from the Netherlands and just subscribed to your channel.
I live where Curlew's are abundant, and I've gotten very fond of their sounds at night... but I'm trying to find the name of the birds that have a call that sounds very much like someone saying "come hia." Can anyone help me, please 🙏
Outstanding, thank you for the beautiful footages
Glad you enjoyed it

Glad you enjoyed it ! They are nice Robins, even though they are not actually Robins....but that's another story!

Fantastic captures Tim, the whipbird footage and calls are stunning, such an elusive bird!
Very much appreciated. I love the Whipbirds and have spent many hours tracking them.

Welcome on board. Thankyou for your support. I use Nikon z6, 8 and 9. Both 200-500 and 180-600 Zooms. The Z6 is great in low light.

The Curlews have a wonderful, evocative sound. Maybe your bird is the Koel?
@TimSiggs Thank you. I'll look it up 👍
