he was only 22-24 when they filmed the movie & it came out. so not necessarily too old as some other actors being 30 & playing high school students. but he does have features that make him look older

Unless you've read the book then stop trashing this movie. The book is wonderful and even inspired me to become an organ donor. The trailer DOES NOT show all that happens and it is NOT a "rip off" of the Notebook. It has its similarities, yes, as does all of Sparks' work. But it is not completely the same..
One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. This should get just as much recognition as The Notebook. I have never cried as much while watching a movie. It was just heartwrenching

Kailee Theresa you could see the ring on her finger in the trailer when they were at the table, and you see her husband driving away from her, which im guessing is the guy that the DEA was arresting or somethin because he did look like him...and that they either end up together or one of them dies. Only way its a shocking ending is if one of them had a sex change in that 20 year timeskip, otherwise its pretty predictable shawty
i guess you do see her husband drive away for like 2 seconds. i only saw it like the fourth time i watched the trailer. and her husband is not the one who gets arrested. and you won't be able to guess how it ends, i'm just going to leave it at that. i enjoyed the book and the trailer, and i'm sure i will enjoy the movie as well.
No one has really mentioned this... but is it only me that thinks young Dawson looks completely different to his older self... like completely different people! I mean yeah he's gotten older, but at least older Amanda has some resemblance to younger Amanda. I mean, older Dawson just looks different! Anyways it was a good movie and I loved it.

i cried so freaking hard at the end, for sure the most ive ever cried while watching a movie, and people i cry during every emotional film. at first i didn't like young Dawson but he really grew on me, like alot lol. by the end i was rooting for them so hard. and then yeah i wont spoil it but something happens and literally my heart couldnt take it. i was legit yelling at my phone saying, " why cant i watch one movie with a happy ending!" it was such a good movie and i would for sure recommend it, i havent gotten it out of my head since i saw it yesterday and i might see it again today lol.

I don't care what people say, I loved this movie! Yes it's predictable and very typical Nicholas Sparks, but what can I say, it was cheesy as hell and it was amazing. I particularly liked the scenes with the younger Dawson and Amanda, for the first time in a while it really gave me the whole 'warm and fuzzy' feeling you're supposed to feel when you see movies like this. Maybe it's because I'm slightly in love with Luke Bracey.. Who knows!

We had sex two times, sometimes argue but make up for it, I love him and he love me. Look at me now with a different guy I met in college he proposed to me when I was 22 and I have three daughters, one boy. But in my heart I will always love my first love more than my husband. My first love was The Best Of Me. I'm like 43 years old and I wish I was back to 16 years old.

I went and saw this in Theatres with one of my best friends....if this movie doesn't make you choke up, MAN or Woman, then you are soulless. Saw a lot of couples in the theatre...saw a few guys with their girlfriends walk out red faced. kind of cute and sweet. SPOILER!! Ending is sad...someone dies but it benefits another life.

What is it about trailers lately? They seem to be moving towards synopsis of the whole story rather that a teaser to get you to watch it.

I watch this move and OMG i just died!!! It was just beautiful! I wish couples were more like this. I cried. I laughed. I fell in love. I just didn't want it to end. Even though it ended sadly, I still feel it ended right and wonderful in its self.

I went into this movie completely forgetting it was a nicholas sparks film. Be warned, your heart will be ripped out after this. The ending is especially upsetting.

Trust me guys there is so much more to the movie, the trailer only gives off some parts which i love. This movie is amazing, i would rate is 10/10 for performance and storyline. I was literally in tears near the end.

The saddest aspect of this story - for me - is that it's relatable. When you find that person that speaks to your soul, have the courage to allow them in. Fight against the emotional damage suffered from the past because some mistakes will last a lifetime.

First love is special because it might me your first kiss or he steal yur virginity I mean it can be anything. But for me I have a first love when I was 16 it was the best time. We had sex two times, sometimes argue but make up for it, I love him and he love me. Look at me now with a different guy I met in college he proposed to me when I was 22 and I have three daughters, one boy. But in my heart I will always love my first love more than my husband. My first love was The Best Of Me. I'm like 43 years old and I wish I was back to 16 years old.

What is wrong with you all? I think it's amazing how that love hasn't faded away, I'm guessing that it was beautiful and that it meant everything back then, but ultimately, things will change and the fact that you didn't forget about him and the love you had is beautiful.

each n every time I see the part "there was so much u wanted to do" "I wanted to do with you! I blame you for thinking what was best for me when you were best for me!" and along with john legends song "all of me" which is so perfect for this trailer! It gives me goosebumps every time I see n hear this part cuz its so emotional n sad n how your life can take a whole upside down bcuz of a little change of decision.

I went and saw this in Theatres with one of my best friends....if this movie doesn't make you choke up, MAN or Woman, then you are soulless. Saw a lot of couples in the theatre...saw a few guys with their girlfriends walk out red faced. kind of cute and sweet. SPOILER!!

For God sake will you stop! Quit putting it in girls minds that this is what love really is. Because it's not. You put this idea in girls heads that this is what true love is so they think If none of this happens it's not love. Love is not a fairy tale. It's years of blood sweat and tears. Love isn't easy. It's hard. There are no kisses in the rain. 9 times out of 10 the guy won't chase you, it's called pride. It doesn't happen at first sight.
