Is this not just the xenomorph circle of life where a creepy creature lays an egg in your body the a chest burster comes out of your chest eats you then slowly but surely grows into an adult xenomorph
Not really. Killing one for a pheromone gland, weakening another to get a baby, having it violently burst out and then raising it are all the same. The only difference is instead of killing for XP while it's gestating, you just feed your tame random things. I imagine you're expected to be an endgame survivor by the time you go out to tame this thing, so a lot of the materials you should already have. I'm curious if the cryopod method works, where if you pod up a baby and throw it back out, it changes what it wants (cuddle, walk, food, yadda yadda). If you can pod up your tame and toss it back out to change its craving, that'd be nice.
@@jyvaineorchids2255 Dammit. Well there goes that idea. At least I didn't have to find out the hard way. Also, nobody reads the fucking description, dude. You should know this. It's there to be ignored.
I hope they add something like a giant grasshopper, it could have the high jumping of the procoptodon, slow fall and gliding, they could use their hind legs to emit a series of combat effects like raptors and deinos, be able to wall climb, and because they are basically giant locusts at this point, they would get a pack bonus, and be ravenous during the taming process in large numbers together, but the reward for succeeding in taming the alpha would enhance all the nearby locusts levels as well
I saw one of these for the first time recently. I just downloaded the game from almost a year of not playing and I just thought it was a bug that was close to me until I moved the camera angle and saw that it was really far away and HUGE. It ended up trying to chase me but luckily I got away
Make sure that the creature has a good amount of drag weight like a bronto to give all the stats from the parent for example if you have a carch with 224 in health and melee and you give all of the cravings the bug will get all those stats
the higher the drag weight the more stats they take over i reccomend a carch or giga with rly good base stats so not leveled so mutations help the more cravings u do the more levels it takes over!

Damn that seems like a difficult process 😂 I hope it does some really cool stuff. I haven’t checked it out yet but I did see one in the swamp biome yesterday on the island right after my game updated but I didn’t mess with it
Well I feel such an odd/ unique creature wouldn’t be so easily tamed hints why they require you to raise this odd creature rather than tame or eles people would just mass tame this creature and constantly use it over other Dinos that and this creatures own nature
Edit: Nvm... apparently it not a mod, sorry just found out about it and assumed they stopped making dinos for this game.. Old: Uh.. I don't know if mods can be supportive on consoles for ark, but if you can't find one that's why.
Have you tried using the console adm command to reset the wild dinosaurs? There's an old bug that causes certain dinosaurs,do not spawn in the world, I had to do this once because the dragons stopped spawning in my world in the scorched earth
Also the bigger your sacrificial creature the better, so things like maxed out brontos, carchas, giga etc. They give you better levels for your new babies if you feed it all 5 cravings because it takes mutations and levels from the parents.
