Lego World War 2: Second Sino-Japanese War
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 5 ก.พ. 2025
- A Lego brickfilm stop-motion about the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945), a military conflict that happened before and during World War 2 between the republic of China and the Empire of Japan. It all began with the invasion of Manchuria, but the Marco Polo Bridge incident started it all.
This war is kinda overshadowed by World War 2, while World War 2 didn't start until 1939 (excluding the German annexations).
I did this piece for a massive project for school and to date it's one of the most expensive Brickfilms this channel ever produced. (Brickfilms about historical wars are almost always expensive I think)
This is also the brickfilm with the most languages I made so far. (Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and English)
IMPORTANT
Please don't go all political and shouting propaganda or hate speech in the comment section. I just want people having fun watching Lego minifigs killing each other off. Also don't go all history smartass here regarding the weapons and gear I used in this brickfilm. Comments that is deemed as offensive for any groups (Chinese and Japanese alike) will be removed!
So don't place hate comments on this video.
Please leave a like, subscribe and comment.
Some other notes
-The Chinese soldiers wear the M35 helmets as part of the Sino-German cooperation until 1941, they also used the Chiang-Kai Shek rifles based on the Kar98 and other weapons of other countries.
-The uniforms of the Chinese varies, they wore blue, green and kaki.
-The Chinese also wore British brodie helmets.
-Several shots didn't made the final cut, some of them made it into the final product, but only parts of it. For example the battle of Nanking was supposed to be more grusome than in the final product and the Battle Of Hong Kong is supposed to be extended. But there were more shots that didn't made it.

"Why does he look like an anime character?"
"Why are we talking in Cantonese?"
The KMT Nationalist government instead of the Northern Sea Nationalist who sort of united China began at HuangPu military academy in GuangDong
Andres Marin buddy Cantonese is one the dialect speaking in GuangDong
Kuomintang founder was sun yat sen and then was Chiang Kai shek
I must admit you deserve more subscribers. Thanks for the video
Thanks!
All the people who disliked this video are people that don't realize that how much work was put into making this video. I mean this is pretty historical acurate. I can see he put a lot of study to it. As a guy who is behind the corner I aprove this video as a form of art and a masterpiece, one of Starwarsstudio100's most finest brickfilms.
That is pretty correct, although I should also say that plenty of the soldiers said plain Chinese, not much Cantonese.
@@viennaanimations7530 well, he's Cantonese after all.
Yeah, even the vampire is real...@ 8:17. What a chucklehead.
So true there even zero dislike in this video
Indeed
Amazing.
And I thank you a lot for making this. A true memory of the hard fight by the Chinese during their struggle against the Japanese.
Thanks!
Excellent video, thanks for making one on the Second Sino-Japanese War; there isn't many stop motions on this specific front in WWII.
Thanks!

starwarsstudio100 I'll remove it myself😳😳😳
Keep in mind that there are no real winners in war, the Japanese also sufferd a lot, think of the atomic bombs. Most people who died on Japanese soil are civilans who had nothing to do with the war, but they supported the country. The Japanese didn't win the war in my video. They won the battle. This is acurate, because the Japanese were far superior agianst the Chinese (There are exeptions). The war is already over. I have some Chinese and Japanese myself. Calling them dogs is offensive. Both sides have sufferd during the war. Think about that before you comment, offensive content on my channel.
starwarsstudio100 I will, I post things I am not so proud of after...
Oh nice that you did a video about the Second Sino war! I'm also planning on doing this one. Such an ace animator.
Thanks!, so what battle are you going to do of the Second Sino-Japanese War?
starwarsstudio100 I'll be doing the battle of Nanjing.
Nice, but why Nanjing?
starwarsstudio100 I like the Setting of the Chinese, which were low on war materials, while being overrun. The battle was also one of the last battles , in which Von Falkenhausen indirectly helped the Chinese with his advisors to fight off the Japanese. Also its Street to Street battle, I really like and enjoy to film.
Oh I see. So when are you going to start?
I am a big WW2 fan and I love how you stated the battles name and dates instead of just making a random battle.
Thanks!
nice. bonsaiiii!
Thanks!
Yo Dictator when are you going to upload again. Your videos are top notch the best i've seen, pls don't die my dude.
starwarsstudio100 are you come form Hong kong?
I'm sorry to say this... It's Banzai... not Bonsaiii..
No man it's TEINO HIKA BANZAIIIIIIIIIII.
I love all of the little cameos you put in, they're hilarious!
Thanks!
@@starwarsstudio100 No problem! Also, are you Darth Thacc on discord?
And I'm wondering how you respond to all of your comments so fast
@@AidanHsu Yes I am
Nice job man, its a rare sight to see when a ww2 brickfilm is based on this period of ww2, u nailed it 100%. Very impressed :D
Thanks!
Wow amazing video! Not a lot of people cover the Second Sino-Japanese War, happy to see this
Thanks!
By the way, how did you make the animation at 0:06?
I did everything frame by frame
Did you do it in After Effects?
No I did it with photoshop
What I learned from this video
chinese soldiers sometimes used grenades to destroy tanks by crawling under them. so this is what early suicide bombers looked like
Yes, there were actually units of Chinese soldiers called: ''Dare-to-die Corps'' Who were willing to sacrifice themselves in the face of the enemy.
starwarsstudio100 damn
@@Demon-sh2wc Dare-to-die Corps weren't always equipped with bombs either, there were reports of them running at enemy troops with swords (Da Dao)
@@VChen-vk1lh This too, but the Dadao was used by the vast majority of Chinese divisions in the war due to traditional use and common occurence.
Fantastic stop motion! I’ve watched it like 7 times now and enjoy it every time. I don’t know much about this conflict but I think this definitely shed some light on it. Both of my great grandfathers fought in the pacific and I was fortunate enough to talk to one of them before they died. He told me a lot about life in the pacific and it was quite fascinating. I know this was off topic but I appreciate the stop motion shedding some light on another conflict with the enemy of my great grandfathers.
Thanks!
Fun fact: the Japanese general Tojo slowly began gaining more and more power untill he pretty much was as powerful as the empire him self , pulling the strings and was responsible for pearl harbor and the bataan death march witch killed more then 10,000 people on the way to there prison camps
Ah yes indeed
How on earth do you pull off these massive projects!? it's freaking incredible. So many things to love about this video. The action is great, the practical FX combined with the visual FX looked amazing. Not to mention the realism of it all, which is totally mind blowing to achieve using legos haha great job man!! :)
Thanks!
I totally agree!
I was honored to take part repelling the Japanese with my Abraham Lincoln vampire hunting brigade wirh their axes and top hats gang.
Thank you so much, Abe
Just awesome! The details like the helmets moving makes the film stunning to watch, great inspiration!
Thanks!
Man I still come back after years to watch this. The amount of detail! Also I like how the helmets of the soldiers shake. Real cool detail.
Ah thank you so much, man!
@@starwarsstudio100 no problem. Also woah that was a quick reply.
"Stop, why does he looks like an anime character?"
"Why are we talking in cantonese?"
lmfao made my day
Haha, thanks, man!
Extremely well done. Keep up the great work!!! And I agree - historical brickfilms are very, very expensive...
Thanks!
this deserves so much. awesome
Thanks!
starwarsstudio100 no problem! ive had my time in doing stuff like this and guys like you make it look like a breeze. Keep up the good work, and i liked some of the jokes you threw in there, i think i caught most of them!
Awesome video man!
Thanks!
3:47 you can see slenderman here
Ah yes indeed
you have a super cool Japanese army. I am a little jealous :D But in total the animation was absolutely great! Funny and brutal at the same time. Good job!
Thank you very much. I also enjoy your animations as well.
yeah, I always see your comments. Thanks for being a subscriber. Is your entire Japanese army from Brickmania? This was probably really expansive :D
Well yeah all the Japanese in this video are from Brickmania, I've recently updated the Japanese Army with some newer figs, but yes this is considerd to be my most expensive Brickfilm I've ever made so far. But some of them are also knock-offs, exept for the officer, the knock-offs only play very minor roles or dead bodies.
holy cow this was awesome
Thanks!
starwarsstudio100 keep up the good work
starwarsstudio100 hi,I'm Chinese .

2:20 2:24 2:26 Is this the defense of Sihang Warehouse? It's a very interesting story! They even made a movie about it. It's called "The Eight Hundred" I wonder if he watched it.
Ah yes indeed, nice that you caught that
@@starwarsstudio100 Did you watch The Eight Hundred movie?
@@justarandommalayboi8231 Yes I did
Man as a history buff I give you the honour of nearly completely historically accurate, aside from the funny bits but that’s to lighten the mood, you made one of the most accurate sino Japanese war stop motions ever.
Ah thank you so much, man. That means a lot to me
The second sino Japanese war was extremely underrated
Thank you for displaying this history of China
Thank you for watching, man. It means a lot to me

@@starwarsstudio100 your very welcome
Nice one, not seen such good videos about this war in lego.
Thanks!
Could you make a video about the first Sino-Japanese war maybe?
This is great! I love people shining light on lesser known parts of the war! While it is not technically World War 2, I would love to see a video on the Second Italian-Abyssinian War
Actually it became part of the pasific theatre of WWII after Pearl Harbor.
This was the bestest and funniest 13:24 minutes I have ever spent in my life.
Thanks!
2:23 that's crispy ;)
As a self proclaimed historian, I consider this to be a real work* of art unlike some stop motion studios where they just use a shallow and brief sum of a story. Insane work my friend
Ah thanks, man. That means a lot to me
3:06 I love how you the dudes helmet shake when firing that machine gun.
Haha indeed
BEST WW2 ANIMATION EVER!!!

How do you not have a million views I mean seriously this a great quality work and effort presented.
Thanks!
starwarsstudio100 Yes even though you post this year still it's been February so a month you at least have 500,000 by now.
Haha, thanks for your comment, but there are also a lot of people not pleased with this work.
starwarsstudio100 True, True.
You have the perfect blend of funny and serious
Thanks, I didn't want to add too much humor in it, but I also didn't wanted to be too serious. Since it's LEGO.
It came as a shock to me on how far the Chinese Communist Party have come. From a person with a big knife, or bolt action rifles, to modernized, well trained troops. This video is a great video for people to learn about the actual Anti-Japanese war. You have unlimited future, keep going. Don't stop. You are a giant, right now you might be asleep, but once you awake, it will shake the world.
Ah thank you so much!
Nice - this is fantastic! I don't think I've ever heard of this war until now, I think it's great that you are letting people know about what happened in history. Loved the action sequences (the whole film), and the end credits effect. Btw where do you get the effects like blood and muzzle flashes? Keep up the great work :)
Thanks, I got the effects from action essentials.
Okay thanks :) Cannot wait for The Outbreak part 2 :)
Flowers of was would be a good movie to watch if you wanted to see more about this

At 8:11, there was a japanese soldier without a helmet.
This video deserve a million views or something. But then agian. TH-cam is a strange place. I don't get why some of your video's has million of views while others that are actaully way better than others have lesser views.

As a Chinese, I have to say that you have done a really good job at reproducing the scenes and the weapons with the lego.
And one more point, really detailed as well. And there were dramatic air battles around as well. But You've done a really outstanding job.
Thanks, I kinda ran out of budget to do a massive air battle and bombing scenes and the Cantonese was a inside-joke.
But anyways, it's just fantastic

You're very welcome, this coflict is mostly overshadowed by the pasific theatre of WWII, while this conflict even began before the Second World War.
9:47 how do you get the havelock or the things on the side of the helmet what are those called and what are those actually?
They protect the wearer from sunburns. I got them from an knock-off set.
8:17 there is a vampier behind the Chinese soldier
