I’m a 73 year old big guy, but when it came to Charlie I had tears in my eyes, I know what it’s like losing a dog, one of the hardest things in life. I love your channel.
100% it is mustard. I subscribed before you started the lorry build. I remember your midweek post about Charlie and it was heartbreaking. You all gave him the best life. Looking forward to where you’re planning to go to next!
Oh wow! 1 year later already? Proper miss Charlie, but loving Rosie. Such a brilliant channel to watch, well done guys! I would like to see some UK stuff, like Cornwall, Devon and perhaps an adventure into Wales. But in all honesty, where ever you travel, I will stay turned! Love to you all, travel safe, and keep smiling!!!!! ❤xx
Man... I had a proper tear up when it came to Charlie. We've all had that pet we've had to let go at some point in our lives and it never gets easier. Gone but never forgotten. Here's to you Charlie 💜
WOW! We loved this walk down memory lane with you! Your lorry conversion inspired us to attempt our very own campervan conversion earlier this year! Still tweaking a few things but we have done our first Roadtrip to the SW 300 in Scotland. We checked out a few of your park ups in the Galloway Forest. Stunning! We loved your adventures to Morocco and country we probably wouldn’t visit as it appears too hot for us! We’d love to see you tour Italy 🇮🇹 I agree with Kira, that back wall is a tone of yellow, probably a Mustard shade! My husband and I were sobbing with you as weve also had to put a favourite dog down who had been with us for 15 years!!! 😢 Your puppy is adoreable. Your children are also adoreable and very well behaved. A pleasure to watch. Well done guys. Keep living the Dream ❤
Oh wow, that's amazing! Glad you enjoyed the Galloway Forest too, it's really beautiful there and always lovely and quiet. Thankyou so much for watching along and it's brilliant to hear that we've inspired yourselves to have your own adventures xx
Back in the early 70s having lived for a year sailing round on a catamaran we bought and converted a 41 seater coach as our new family home for us and our two young daughters.
Great vlog. I only started following you about 3 months ago. Good to see the earlier story and how the truck was 'born'. I hope you go from strength to strength.
Enjoyed your look back video must admit had a little cry😢 at Charlie's segment so sad all in all the family have had some great adventures and hope they continue and am sure Rosie will have some great adventures to you all take care.
One of the finest trips must have been Marroco. Had not traveled there myself, as I had traveled with a cat and only me. I look forward to more great journeys with you on TH-cam. Love and Respect from Norway.
Aww don't. I started crying when you was talking about your dog. Mine is 7 now. I dred the day. I got told the other day his sister died of cancer last week. I just can't think about how life would be without my boy. I have two, brothers but one is my main boy who I've had since he was 7/8wks, and his brother I got at 3yrs old. He had a limping leg the other day, and I was like omg but he's recovered. He's fine. Back to running rings around me. I never thought I could get a bond so close as i have with my Cassius. CASSIUS the rottweiler...❤ He's has the best temperament.. I always dreamed of travelling with him in a camper since I started watching you guys but i know its just pipe dreams. You guys are blessed ❤ love your journey guys xx
I love Torrey. You have made a great home. I agree with your decision about the upholstery. If you had spent thousands on the cushions it would be so difficult to care for them, especially with 5 people in the home. What you have looks nice, and is also very practical.
I started watching you when you bought the lorry as I wanted to follow the build. Thoroughly enjoyed your content since. Your travelogues even when things haven’t gone to plan are excellent. It’s also been enjoyable watching the kids develop as at their ages they change so quickly. Looking forward to the next 12 months. ❤
I cant remember when i started watching, but i saw all the build and your first trip out. Have loved neeting you in person at two Campervan Campouts and these guys are as genuinly nice in person everyone. The paint is mustard yellow (sorry Ric!). Looking forward to wherever you take us next!
Lovely video and some good memories ....you have done SO much since you started living in a van Charlie got us going, and he wasn't even ours!....Still miss our old dog even tho we have another ❤ Have a good week xx
What a lovely video guys was great looking back at your travels I did shed a tear or two with the part of Charlie 😢 thank again for taking us on your journeys
The very same thing happened to our 9yr old German sheherd... exactly the same tumor on spleen which had ruptured..she died on the operating table xx beautiful girl..i miss her xx
The colour is mustard . Jesus I had a good cry when Charlie was shown, so sad to lose a family pet 😢great vlog and what an experience travelling like you do xxx
What an amazing life you have carved out for yourselves, and more power to you. Have really enjoyed watching the channel and look forward to your future adventures.
I've been watching since your early van days and will avidly continue. I was enjoying watching this one as I do every week (thank you all very much) and I thought - what do I like about your vlogs and why do I look forward to them. Firstly, you are natural, relaxed and bouyant (in the vlogs, at least .... lol). Secondly, I think, you gel well together and clearly enjoy, overall, the life you lead and the decisions you've made. Thirdly (and, maybe, most importantly), you are providing an amazing, fulfilling, exciting and unforgettable experience for your children and yourselves, as well as for us, your viewers and subscribers. Long may you continue and long may you prosper. ❤ I meant to say, how about Italy/Greece?
This is so lovely, and nice for us to get a real valuable insight from a viewer's perspective. It's much appreciated! We had a tough time in Italy when we visited in our Motorhome which put us off a bit, but maybe its time to give it a second chance 🤷♀️
Great to see this video. I can't believe I have been following your channel for a year! If you are going to Morocco again this winter, why not get your upholstery done there at the same time as your wheels! We will just be in Spain and Portugal this winter. Tim
Lovely vlog watching you grow and upsetting to loosing your dog we had the same loss after 14 years with the dog we loved so much.keep doing what your doing what a lovely life for you all x
Great vid, great catch up, giving me the itch to go to Morocco!👍 1 year on and………….. You still haven’t painted those wheels🤷♂️🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hope to see you around next year👍 Ady n Val 👍
Wonderful reflection over a fantastic year guys. For me the best is seeing you all as a family sharing the amazing travel and new experiences together. So lovely to be reminded of Charlie, such a lovely boy. Tori is doing you proud and life seems great. 2025 will be another filled with great adventures I'm sure. I find it amazing how Tori can squeeze into such fabulous places ! 😂
I've been subscribed for quite a few months but never actually watched the van / lorry / Truck conversion 😂 so I've just started watching it. Love it👍🥕🥕
Well done. Such hard work. Love following you. It was lovely seeing you in Portrush. If I’d known about you I would have said hello. But stumbled across your vlogs later. Congratulations on your anniversary. 🎉🎉
Hi guys great vlog I joined watching you a year ago when you first got the lorry I was drawn in by the biuld and watched you ever since I also got to speak to Kira at the camper fest showground this year, your a great family living your best life carry and I like a lot others will be here following you guys Germany and Morocco were my favourite places (RIP Charlie 😢) so take care the gowerz Portsmouth xx
@@Touringwiththekids hi guys yes next year I will be there earlier (before you shut up shop lol ie Sunday afternoon) so will look forward to meeting you all again
I’m so sorry about Charlie. Last year I had to have my cat that I’d had for 18 years, put to sleep because of a mass on her liver. I still miss her desperately.
48:10 those water chilled coolers don't work for me, they just convert hot air into damp hot air but some people like them. Try the unit on the stand before you buy. You might think about putting a couple of vents through the floor (it's a lot cooler under there) or out the window on the shady side.
We call that color Oker. Charlie was a great dog, you never forget youre first dog. Following u all for some time now and i found Marokko the best until now. Hi Rick and Kira, I am Debbie and my hubbie is Dave, we have followed you for 1 year our first episode with you was when you were pulled off the muddy caravan site and yes we adore you all and Rick you are very sweet❤ but I am afraid that I just love Teddie I adore that little boy he is so adorable he must take after KIra on that one. We follow you every week and we love to know what you have been getting up to on your travels. Iv been watching you since you visited the Irish homestead. Decided to go all the way back to the lorry build. So Morocco is only a few weeks ago for me. All caught up now. Doesn't feel like I watched a years worth of videos though. Can't wait to see your next adventures.
The Yorkie advert looks so 80’s but totally love it. So this has been true inspiration and we are looking to take our family on the road, what would your advice be?
Biggest bit of advice is 'don't overthink it', or you'll just come up with reasons not to. Give it a shot and if it doesn't work out, you'll still have had an amazing adventure ☺️ whether it's 6 months, a year or 2 years it doesn't matter x
Wow I so loved this video It was great to see it all happening it's a real credit to you both 😊 A lot of work but now you are living the dream. My Labrador died of cancer as well at 13 and I had to go with her to vets to put her to sleep. It was the hardest thing. But as long as you know they had a lovely loving life . Good luck 🍀🍀🍀 love to all frank ❤😊
We are in Ireland now it's lovely, there's no body around, but also nothing in the way of attractions are open... We are also just starting to making TH-cam videos
I think you have to be grounded, as I've been watching some van builds and they go well ott. Love what you've done with the layout, I'm looking for a Luton van to convert. 🎉 congrats for the 1st Yr. Best of luck with yrs to come.
Although there's no guarantees with Ireland and the weather, I would say best time to visit for good weather is the week the children return back to school after the summer hols, that's my home Ed childrens favorite time of year😂 good weather and parks & beaches to themselves 😁
Good afternoon Kira and Rick Jack Ted and Piper I love watching your TH-cam time videos on your TH-cam channel hasn't time flown by I hope that you are all well and enjoying all of your adventures in your big lorry called Tori Please keep safe and warm every one makes me laugh and smile please keep up your good work on your youtube channel cheers everyone
You should defo go to Slovenia, it is our favourite European country! We especially like Lake Bled and also you must go to the Lipiza horses and sleep in the car park there!! Love from Beth
That's definitely a yellow, like a mustard yellow, orange 🙄 he's colour blind 😂 but what a fantastic finish, you've made it into a proper home ❤ Thanks for making me cry 😢 it's heartbreaking losing a pet 🙏🏼💔 it's good to have some great memories ❤ good job on putting this together, must have took some editing, well done 👍🏼 awesome vlog guys 🌹🔥❣️🙏🏼
We live in Donegal Ireland Inishowen please look it up .. we have some of the best beaches in Ireland.. we are only around a 1 1/2 from Belfast ferry port .. we don’t live too far from Malin head the most northerly spot in Ireland 🇮🇪 some of the last Star Wars film was filmed here .. Derry on our doorstep too .. hope you make it here .. love your vlogs .. you’re a lovely family
Ah so sad about Charlie, but so glad he’s in piece now ❤ we are going to Morocco in January for we months from our home in Spain, could you give me the details of the family place and location that you mentioned in this video please , thank you and keep up the great work you guys x
@@Touringwiththekids thanks so much, we will definitely add this to our itinerary, we are just going back through your Morocco videos to pick up some more tips
@@Touringwiththekids, have you seen @six_inabus? They have a Leyland National double decker, but have just bought a Y reg (2001) Volvo B12T (tri axle) chassis bus (I forgot the coachbuilder) that was a tour bus for The Darkness - they are pulling stuff out as it looked better than it was behind the furniture! The electrics are shocking! Conrad (or Wreak-it Ralph, depending on the demolition task) is a marvel to watch as he threads a bus through a car park! This may put you off the idea of getting a bus ... if that doesn't put you off, look into fuel costs, as I'm sure they will be higher than your truck (which is probably higher than the automatic RAV4 I have, which averages about 18mpg of E5 petrol - I don't use it much)
Morocco is my favourite. Iv been watching near enough from beginning when yas was building the first van. Was hooked straight away lol love u guys every week I look forward to your videos. We definitely need a mid week vid too lol bless yas. I’d like to see u guys in America maybe 🤔 ( that’s probably to much tho) xxx
I’ve been watching you forever all the countries you’ve been to I think are fantastic I can’t really choose a country which is my favourite. I think they’ve all been good. Keep up the good videos. ❤️👍 xx
What's the plan for as the kids grow up and sharing a bedroom? Do you think you'll continue this way of life when they're teenagers and maybe going off living their own lives?
The 3 of them slept on bunk beds when they were in the van . When they moved into the Lorry,Piper moved to the other side - maybe a Double Decker bus might be an idea so each of the children can have their own bedroom. A bus would be able to fit into spaces the lorry could not.
We definitely want to continue this nomadic travel life, but whether that’s a lorry or not, who knows. In the van, piper and Jack slept in the pop-top and Ted had a bunk above ours. The lorry has given them loads more space. But I think we are looking at some curtains for the bed maybe 👍
Hi, We have watched you for a while now. We have seen some of your journey from van to lorry. How did you cope in the van 😮. Probably have to say morocco for us. Can't believe how the kids have changed. Both of us teared up with the dog vlog 😢. Have you been to Poland ?, maybe one to think about. Have you got any thoughts of doing anything with outside of the lorry or wheels, cab windows for the kids would be great. We have also subscribed 😀. Take care and enjoy the adventures. P and J 👍
Haha 😂 I know, mad we were in that for a year, but then again we had so much fun exploring it went by so fast too! We haven’t done Poland yet, but we do want to tick off some new countries. We are still hoping to get some windows in the cab and freshen up the wheels a bit

Love your vlogs guys , many thanks
Thanks so much x
We are in Ireland now it's lovely, there's no body around, but also nothing in the way of attractions are open... We are also just starting to making TH-cam videos
Good luck with the videos, our biggest advice is to make sure you have fun with it 👍
@@Touringwiththekids loving making them but have absolutely no idea about what I'm doing...
I think you have to be grounded, as I've been watching some van builds and they go well ott. Love what you've done with the layout, I'm looking for a Luton van to convert. 🎉 congrats for the 1st Yr. Best of luck with yrs to come.
Thankyou and good luck with your conversion!
Your such a fun family to watch. Amazing.
Hope your future is just as amazing. Xx
Thank you so much!! ☺️
Although there's no guarantees with Ireland and the weather, I would say best time to visit for good weather is the week the children return back to school after the summer hols, that's my home Ed childrens favorite time of year😂 good weather and parks & beaches to themselves 😁
That’s clever! And not a bad idea x

You should defo go to Slovenia, it is our favourite European country! We especially like Lake Bled and also you must go to the Lipiza horses and sleep in the car park there!! Love from Beth
It’s on the list, along with many others!
The backdrop colour is more like a tumeric yellow gold colour :)

Great to hear! We don't have an end, this is just our life for the forseeable ❤️
Ah so sad about Charlie, but so glad he’s in piece now ❤ we are going to Morocco in January for we months from our home in Spain, could you give me the details of the family place and location that you mentioned in this video please , thank you and keep up the great work you guys x
Its Casa Bouaid, if you google it, it will come up with the park4night info x
@@Touringwiththekids thanks so much, we will definitely add this to our itinerary, we are just going back through your Morocco videos to pick up some more tips
I think you should do a double decker bus next.😊
The kids would LOVE that!! 🚌
America would be amazing as would Canada ❤️
Cool and sad video, definitely yellow (mustard)
I’ve been watching you forever all the countries you’ve been to I think are fantastic I can’t really choose a country which is my favourite. I think they’ve all been good. Keep up the good videos. ❤️👍 xx
Ah Amazing, thanks for being part of our journey. Agree, we love every country we have visited x
How did you manage to keep track of the weight ? Or did you just wing it and hope for the best 😊
We weighed it mid build, so we had a rough idea. But other than that just winging it, whilst being cautious
They could put a partition wall up on Pipers side. To give her more privacy from the boys.
We definitely want to continue this nomadic travel life, but whether that’s a lorry or not, who knows. In the van, piper and Jack slept in the pop-top and Ted had a bunk above ours. The lorry has given them loads more space. But I think we are looking at some curtains for the bed maybe 👍
Hi,
We have watched you for a while now.
P and J 👍
Haha 😂
I know, mad we were in that for a year, but then again we had so much fun exploring it went by so fast too! We haven’t done Poland yet, but we do want to tick off some new countries. We are still hoping to get some windows in the cab and freshen up the wheels a bit
Hi sorry to admit but I didn't see the build , what insulation did you use?
Gold!
Sweden is a really good place to visit for van life oh and by the way its definitely yellow haha
Sweden is cool, we have done part of it in our old van. But still lots we could explore
