This was very helpful! So it sounds like blocking messages from someone just hides me from seeing them. The blocking option still allows them to keep sending things feeling like it’s just waiting to be read eventually. Wish I could just eliminate Messenger and it’s button entirely!

This is not true If someone blocks you on Facebook Messenger, you can't send them messages or make audio or video calls. You also can't see their posts or activities.
