The part where Simon repeatedly begs the Lord, "Please, don't let me go!" was one of my favorite scenes throughout the show. I was so deeply and profoundly touched by that moment I felt as if I was Simon sinking in the dark, perilous waters, despairing, about to die, but the Lord, in His mercy and grace saves him and reassures him with the words, "I'm always here." 😭😭😭
And when he said “I keep people hungry, but I feed them” 😭 praise be to God!!

Eden praying for him got me in tears. "Don't let him go" was everything, I find myself praying this alot for my husband. My husband has changed so much because God has changed him. Even last night prayed as my husband lay peacefully asleep and I just weaped of greatfulness. God has changed our life in the best way possible and the fact that we are not in the same place we were a year ago makes me so happy and glad to call Jesus my king.

The Bible never tells us how far apart Jesus and Simon were. But it really didn't matter - time, space, and distance were all created by our Lord. The moment Simon cried out Lord save me! He traversed the distance in less time than it probably takes us to blink our eyes. So remember, the next time you feel like you're about to drown in the circumstances, you find yourself in, your lifeguard walks on water! To God be the glory!

My scripture teacher doesn’t like this show because they take a lot of liberties but I honestly love it because it brings Christ so close to us it shows him as human he doesn’t seem like some distant figure who is all powerful and perfect HE WAS HUMAN TOO and this show really shows both his humanity and divinity and helps us to see him as a real living person and really strengthens our faith
Exactly if we could just finally see we can be kind and loving and compassionate to each other we’d make miracles like this everyday instead of fixing on a psychopath god out there that hates me cause of the littlest things like religion (men) taught us. We could feel loved by the real God we loved each other. But this life/society is so traumatizing we don’t have a good reference for it so we don’t have faith He/It exists and it all will be alright.
You should go into an Orthodox Church. Saturday night is the exact same service Jesus would have gone to.

The bible already shows us how close he was to us and how, through his time in the flesh, could relate to us. I've never watched the show, but if their creative liberties conflict with correct theology (especially if they change what Jesus says), then it's no good. Again, I'm not saying it's bad because I haven't watched it. I'm just saying to be cautious about these kinds of things 😄

I cried my eyes out with this scene. I know the Bible doesn’t tell us what Pete and his wife went through during this time, but I love how The Chosen did a scenario that could possibly happen to any married couple. This scenario has so much meaning and hits home to so many people, but the beauty in the message of how God strengthens us through our most difficult and heart breaking struggles. Jesus is always there to help us, we just only need to trust fully in Him.
So that means the scenario with Peter and his wife are completely pointless.

The Lord led me to this show during its infancy. I myself was going through turmoil in my own life and was DESPERATELY seeking Him. The scene in episode 1 when Jesus called Mary by name had me in tears and I IMMEDIATELY donated to this show to make it available to ALL who are seeking Jesus. I watched the entire season that morning and have surrendered my life to Jesus.

Thats the problem with this show. My husband and I were OBSESSED for the first 2 seasons and while waiting on Season 3, we woke up to BIBLICAL truth, started truly understanding the inerrancy of scripture, and left the Word of Faith movement and Charasmatic movement of our old church, realizing that they were not preaching the Word and had little to no respect for the work Christ did for us on the cross. The church has become VERY emotional and more susceptible than ever to deception.
The scenes and moments in this show that SO deeply touched and moved us, are NOT EVEN REAL. The most emotional parts of this show are parts that are made up by man, or from scripted quotes that Jesus NEVER said.
The creators of this show are taking MAJOR dumps on the Bible because they think they are more creative than God is. They think God needs their help because the Bible, left as is, is not interesting enough or captivating enough to reach people.
This show is causing people to believe in myths and to place their faith in a Jesus created in the image of man (idolatry) instead of the Jesus of the BIBLE. 😢😢
@@MrsLadan they are leading people to read the Bible. There are people who have never picked up the Bible and don’t know the scriptures. I already know a lot of people turned from their sinful ways and turned to Jesus. Too many are lost sheep. If one is lost Jesus will go out to seek the one.

By far the greatest depiction of this event I’ve ever seen. The way he’s not just floating he’s balancing himself the way he calls to them like a normal person would instead of the over sanitized “be not afraid” all of it’s just perfect

As a hindu I belive JESUS walk on water because in Hinduism it's called a siddhi(power given by god's) when a sage do spiritual practice he gets it and there are 100 reference of these powers in hindu text and especially walking on water was most common
