I have watched Queen’s Live Aid set many, many times. When I saw this today, I sat down and watched again! I enjoy it every time!. Do you know that Queen’s 1981 Rock Montreal concert (remastered) is being shown in IMAX worldwide January 18-21? That’s tomorrow through this weekend!

I was living in Los Angeles at this time and watched the entire concert on TV. It was an all day event with half of it going on in London and the other half going on in Pennsylvania. It was an incredible line up and great show but Queen took home the crown for sure. They stole the show the minute they came onto the stage, their energy was palpable and they really knew how to handle a crowd in a stadium venue. I believe that David Bowie was the next act after Queen so no problem doing his set at that point. I think Bowie was the only one who could follow Queen and keep the momentum going.
