What LIMESCALE does to your hot water cylinder (Hard water)

Hard water causes limescale to settle , especially when water is heated. I took a video of a cylinder that had failed after 18 years in a hard water area to see how much limescale had accumulated. the Limescale causes many problems, especially efficiency issues as it coats the pipes and prevents heat being transferred.
