      @@lauryn2868 tbf love for dogs isn't a good indication that someone is a good dog owner.
      Many dog owners who love their dog neglect giving the dog even basic obedience training because it's family and there's no way the dog can cause a problem. Even a labrador or golden retriever can cause a problem if the owner is negligent, personally saw a golden retriever attack someone and the owner was just too stunned because his dog attacked someone.

    A Cane Corso is like a playful, innocent goofball trapped in the body of a muscle tank. Actually they are not always aware of their size or strength, which is why they need a lot of training. They are also not the fastest learners, so they need very consistent behaviors from their owners. But all in all a lovely breed! Such cuddle bunnies.

      he's playful but the dog should also know when to stop or until what he can just do. Because too much playfulness can also hurt the visitor and not all of their visitors would want to play, if that dog likes to play and there's a child there the dog can hurt the child because the dog thought it's just him being playful. • @LillysLookForLess
    @LillysLookForLess 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I don’t agree with this guy. The dog isn’t trying to “dominate” him. The theory behind dogs “wanting to dominating humans” has been debunked in research. Dogs have been bred to be human companion, so dogs have been bred to want human affection, not challenge it.
    This dog is NO WHERE trying to dominate or be aggressive. This large dog is literally, STILL A PUPPY. Dogs don’t become full adults until the age of 2. So he still has puppy-like behaviors. He’s excited to see new people and just like any dogs, he gets excited and jumps.
    In no way is the dog being aggressive or trying to “dominate” anyone. The dog simply wants to play. The whole jumping and lunging is the dogs way of thinking it’s appropriate play behavior. If you don’t want your dog to play in that kind of way, you need to teach your dog how to play in other ways like- give them toys, play fetch, etc.
    Simply teaching the dog to not approach people in a jump/lung is easy. Simply teaching them that getting off of ppl is easy. Simply teaching them a “down” command is all it takes.
    The guy backing the playful dog into the wall is just unnecessary. If anything, it just encourages it more bc it doesn’t teach the dog to “not jump.” Backing the dog into the wall while it’s playing and jumping on you only makes the dog think you’re playing back. So that was just bad. A good trainer would literally teach the dog to “off” and “sit” and then grab a toy to teach the dog other ways to play.
    The owners just needs to teach this large, young dog basic obedience. They’re allowing the dog to jump onto people without training him to NOT do that. And it’s not even the breed, it’s with ALL dogs.

      Compared to the rest of the developed nations, Korea is still far behind on the concept of being a responsible dog owner. Many treat their tiny/teacup dogs like babies or if they have large dogs, they either leave them tied outside in small crates with little care, etc. So Korea still has a lot to learn about dogs. The 'dominance theory' this guy is talking about was based on a study of unrelated wolves forced to live together in a zoo. And was proven false, years later, when we were able to study several wolf packs in the wild. Also, dogs and wolves are separated by 15,000 years of evolution and breeding. Behaviorally, they are very different. This trainer should really be basing his methods on proven behavior studies that were actually about dogs, instead of debunked wolf studies.

When a puppy like this Cane corso tries to act like he's the biggest dog, they'll be growled at by the mother and forced down into the ground belly exposed and will continue that process until the puppy finally learns the hierarchy.

    This 'expert' is giving very very bad advice. It has been proven over and over again that there is no such thing as alpha dogs or ranks in a pack. Canines in a pack naturally try to look after the family by taking up the role they believe they need to fulfill. This dog understands he is strong so he is trying to take up the role of protector and in this video is testing the 'experts' reaction to various levels of physical contact. Basically the dog is trying to determine if this is someone he should protect or not worry about and if the expert reacts back aggressively then the dog will see this stronger person as a threat to the family it is protecting.
    These people need to educate themselves before they bring on someone who keeps pushing completely incorrect information.

What should Hyungwook called it if it's not ranking?
