I would, however, recommend two limitations, namely “no on-going conflict” and “national debt ceiling limit” for the long term stability and sustainability of BRICS.

It's worth thinking of certain general criteria, such as GDP, rate of economic growth, population, geographical location, natural resources, and so on, before choosing new members to join BRICS. Moreover, the current practice of unanimous agreement for collective decision making should be replaced by a 2/3 rd's majority rule, in order to avoid potentially debilitating paralysis of policy adoption by a greatly extended BRICS. In my view the following 10 countries, among others, should join BRICS in its next phase of expansion (of course, if they do apply): Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nigeria, Angola, Uganda, Kazakhstan and Thailand.
I'm indonesian Actualy many indonesian giving positive respond about brics main members invitation to indonesia joining brics. This because indonesia mostly have positive and friendly relationship with brics member, especialy russia. But, since indonesia is a non aligned country, indonesian government still waiting and watching about the future of brics.
