I still love it how you lowkey teach us all the Brand names in Japanese and after that talk to yourself. So chill, hope to run into you one time when I'm in Japan. You seem like an actual chill guy
Carhartt wip is the in between of Noah and supreme. Like you’re not ready to give up all the big logos and vibe of supreme but you’re ready to start growing and moving on from supreme. Other brands that I like after moving on from supreme are only ny, Noah, Uniqlo, aime le deon, jjjsound, stussy, and pleasures (for collab graphic tees only)
@@Seti12345 well, now they say that they are not a sustainable, just a responsible company, but still they say: "We put integrity above trends, and try to work exclusively with suppliers and manufacturers who treat workers fairly. We encourage people to buy clothing of better quality that will last, rather than buying more of what is in fashion" 1. They are not transparent about their fabrics/factories : for example they say that the cotton is made in Italy or Portugal, but cotton does not grow in Europe, so the yarn has to come from somewhere else (most propably from Asia) where the workers are no treated fairly as they claim 2: "we put integrity above trends" but yet they jump on the hype wagon, like every other brand to produce fast fashion tshirts and hoodies to "help Australia". I don't see this as honourable or responsible. It was just to scam their customers to make huge profit or give them more fame . You don't need to buy a stupid t-shirt to donate money. They will donate just part of the profit, where you could donate all 40 or 50$ that you would spend on the piece of clothing. There are few more issues that I have with them and brands like this, but it would take me too long t write it all
milo ka I can’t disagree with your first point however I believe they pledged to donate all of their profits from the Australia tee to charities and people may be more inclined to buy the shirt rather than straight up donate because it means that they actually get something in return. It’s just how people are, they’re more likely to give money if they actually get something back from it
milo ka all the proceeds from the Australia tee were donated. And unless the only cotton source that is exist in the world is in Asia and it’s yielded by unfairly treated workers, you can’t be sure that their cotton pieces are the fruit of inhumane labour
Can you do more videos showing us around Tokyo, just like what you did with the Noah clip. That was actually really cool and you had some pretty good videography
I'm happy to see Evisen and others get highlighted in this video. Another couple brands that come to mind for me are HELLRAZOR, Verdy's Wasted Youth, Youth Loser, YouthQuake, kento_hardware, and answerinpastlife. As well as more established brands like black eye patch and F-LAGSTUF-F.
Love your show man been watching for a while It's Incredibly inspiring. I wanted to ask have you come across some big guy brands or stores so that non Japanese and Japanese plus size men a like can also look stylish?
@@MrAmirtaha I feel you, i dunno how "minimal" their loud color blocking is lmao. but yeah they tryna have that classy vibe. Would love to see Reggie give us a break down on 'em anyway.
Man you've changed my view of fashion and I love your videos, I'm trying new things, exploring that Japanese streetwear style by creating my outfits and I'm having a blast. In fact it was all good and dandy until I got kind obsessed about brands and spent 409€ in three t-shirts and a sweater. They were undercover, neighbourhood and BESFXXK. All in all I got a good price since these were 50%, but I think the beauty in this hobby is taking it slow, check a lot of different styles and try to put togheter your own looks. It's easy to get carried away and spent money like I did when you go into a store and you see how them clothes be shining. My wallet hurts now. But heh, lesson learned. I mean I don't feel bad for buying this clothes but I feel like I should refine my style a lot more before going for expensive pieces. It's way more fun when you go to different local stores like UNIQLO, urban outfiters ect and pull out something you're proud of without spending much. Anyway kind of a long rant but I'll try to spend more time checking lookbooks than online stores for premium brands.
That's not bad either, especially because a wardrobe is something that is liquid and easy to sell off and trade for other pieces. Buying pieces that are appreciative or retain their value is part of the process as you develop a sense of style.
Question... can you do a video about what makes a japanese brand "japanese" . Oftentimes i hear u say a brand does something originating in America but with a Japanese twist or done in a Japanese style but I'm unclear on what that is exactly, what should I look for to find this distinction and how can I spot it
Nice list Reggie. Should have mentioned Tightbooth Production (TBPR) though. In many ways it's very similar to Evisen, but in my opinion is a lot more of a true streetwear label and less like "skate merch," if you know what I'm saying. TBPR tends to have more interesting, Japanese-influenced cuts. Not to mention the owner/designer Shinpei Ueno is tight with Hiroshi Fujiwara and recently did a collab with fragment. Edit: Also love that you're speaking more Japanese in recent videos, hope you keep it up.
Palace i think is always a brand I see similar to Supreme, but yeah I just started looking at Noah and it def has nautical and European inspirations in alot of their pieces
Theres two Brazilian Brand that you should check out, bouth styles like streetwear/rockwear, the First one is Vomit3D and the other is Brutal Kill. Sorry for broke english lol
I think ERASED a fairly new American skateboarding brand who also sponsors Japanese skateboarders for years now, you should check them out. Love from the Philippines ...
On my very first trip to Japan for New Years this year I picked up an Evisen parka and everyone who’s into fashion keep askin “ya where can I get that!?”
Since Japanese brands aren't always to accessible for your fans outside Japan (yk with import duties and lmao we broke out here) could you make a video about some good Japanese brands that are accessible out west?
I’ve been peeping Pleasures lately. They’ve recently dropped a collection with Joy Division. Even people like Hideo Kojima grabbed a few pieces. They mostly announce their drops via their ig stories.
Wacko Maria x Guilty Parties is a brand I've been definitely watching, I loved their pieces but I was limited to what was available on END or HBX because they don't ship out to US directly. Their brand is DEFINITELY something along the lines of Fr2 but focuses on a darker side of Japan. I wish I could find similar brands :(
I love you channel so much you have opened my eyes to same amazing things, but why do you only focus on Japanese fashion it seems like your putting yourself in a box?
Dime is also up there made in Montreal, worn by Travis and Virgil, they do an annual skate contest and it’s absolutely fucking amazing and wild and check out their videos for the Dime Challenge Bianca Chandon: founded by skater Alex Olson that focuses on LGBT skater culture in California, most well known by the Lover hoodie worn by Frank Ocean.
Not sure what happened with color grading with the second half of the video, perhaps a little too stylized for my taste. Great video nonetheless! Keep up the great work
That's the biggest scam ever (not only talking about noah) they just jumped on the hype wagon, made fast fashion tshirts to make huge profit. You can donate the money yourself, you don't need to buy a t-shirt for that. Lol
ericchang44 Noah and Aimé Leon Dore are not like Supreme in my opinion. Kith is becoming more like Supreme for sure. But comparing Supreme to Noah and ALD generally speaking is ignorant.

Definitely! Those labels will certainly make a list in another form for sure. aime le deon is a favorite in The House of Casual.
are y'all perhaps referring to Aimé Leon Dore?

The quality on your outing videos keeps going up :D

Love Dime! Will make a point to add it to a list for sure.
So grateful we're getting the Japanese lessons! This is one of the best channels on TH-cam, hands down! 💯
Favorite brands would be have a good time, carhartt WIP, ALD, and Saturday’s NYC.

U should talk abouth the brand daily paper its getting well know in the netherlands and outside 2
We'll take a look at it for sure!
but they are not for the culture, they more of commercial branding company, i'd rather wear woei or patta stuff if anything even banlieue lol
I respect Noah. They did a collab with my favorite band Depeche Mode
Great video! Love knowing about new brands and glad you show us this
Noah is a great brand, a very honourable brand message too. Makes me proud to wear their products!
Not really, they are quite hyproctical if you really analyse them

Jacob Jimenez Calleja Stussy too. I’d even say their designs are better.
Pleasures with some of their pieces too. For T-shirts, I personally switched to Braindead.
