No, they only do it at Disneyland, CA. - - RU
@UnnyGorey - They do it every year. The ride closes after Labor Day and reopens very late Sept or Early Oct. The make over runs until just after New Years and then is shut down and reverted back.
wooaah!! haha I LOVE TIM BURTON!!!!
It opens in late Sept. until earlay Jan.

Yes, it is on right now.
RU
I really like this ride!Ha Ive ride this 3 times!Ha!I ride this with my friend!Ha!I like this!Ha!
HMH runs from late September (either the 3rd or 4th weekend of September - they change it from time to time) until usually after the first weekend after the New Years. Basically, if you go anytime in Oct. Nov, or Dec you will see HMH. - - RU
The ride usually shuts down the week after Labor Day (early September) and reopens the last weekend of September or the first weekend of October. The ride then closes again in January for about a month while they switch it back. - -RU
I got to see it in Oct. of 2008. It is neat. They basically cover almost everything up for the Halloween and Christmas Seasons.
blar this is my all time favourite movie. i even have Jack tattooed on my back but i dont know if or when i'll make it to California to experience this. I go to walt disney world once every few years, but California i've never been to. thnx for posting this
i wanna go i wanna go!!!!!
ok ive been on that one i agree with you kinda (i love it so much) any way i the one in paris is really scary
Late Sept to early January - - RU
The Haunted Mansion has the bride. HMH used to have a monkey that banged some symbols. As a tribute now we have the monkey dressed as a bride banging on symbols. You can see it much better in my DVD quality videos members*cox*net/ru42 (replace the * with .) - -= RU
HM closes right after Labor Day and is usually closed for a month. HMH opens late September/early Oct and then run for 3 months. Typically HM closes again in early January for an additional month while they change it back. - _ RU
Hey, I never noticed that back there! Good eye, guys! Thanks.
They shut the ride down about a week after New Year's so they can switch it back to it's "demonic" original version. Both are cool, but this version is freakin' awesome
Yay! Thanx for posting this ru! I went on this TWICE last year and just loved it. Tim Burton is a GENIUS!
I saw this version when i went to Disneyland last year. It was actually really cool to see it a bit more colorful. LOL. But i love the original to. I just liked singing along with the music while going through the ride. ^_^
9 magic crystals that sparkle with a force that is pure. 2 passion potions that love and romance may succeed. - - RU
it happens only at disny land and tokyo disney due to the mansions practically the same it doesnt happen at walt disney world in orlando trust me i know i have a friend who works there and she and i both wish it did happen there to
Typically this makeover opens to the public the last weekend of September or the first weekend of October. --= RU
You must be dedicated to get all of the 13-days-of-Christmas sayings and all of the demented toys....
I love this ride....
both! that's what makes this ride so good. It comes up at the start of Disneyland's HalloweenTime and continues through Christmas, after the New Year. It typically closes the 1st Saturday of January for the re-transition to the original Haunted Mansion
there is something wrong with my computer i cant watch this anymore!:(
it starts in october and thru the first week of january!!
if u love the movie and/or the original ride youll be breathtaken by the ride!! its uber fun!
I know I have Indy already on TH-cam, just look in my list. I have videos of Splash Mtn but I cannot remember off the top of my head if they are on TH-cam. Don't forget, all my videos can be obtained on DVD - just check out the link in my profile. - - RU
yes it is in aneheim. they just change it over to nightmare before christmas during the holidays. its so awesome, im going for thanksgiving. im so excited
On a ride like this it usually takes about 12 takes to get all the detail that I want to get. -- RU
It is a massively tough sequence to sync up because there is a massive difference between the full track length versus the time it takes to travel through the attic. I did and redid the sequence and finally settled on what I had as the best result. - - RU
Yes, HM closes for most of September but usually opens up the last week of Sept with this overlay and runs through the first week of January. - _ RU
My wife and I visited Disneyland for the first time from Halloween to Nov 2 this year. While we prefer Disney World over Disneyland, this ride was well worth the trip. I've never seen her get so excited during our first ride on it. And I loved it too.
Sorry, that is incorrect information. Please see my post below. - - RU
I love it how they turned the candle into Zero! He's my favorite character from the movie, hands down!
The only time I love Halloween is when I get to go to Disneyland.
I always hated Halloween...it always gave me the creeps.
But I also Love that I get to watch The Nightmare before Christmas! :)
@DisneylandFan2 the song is "God rest you merry grinning ghosts" a parody of "God...merry gentlemen" for the ride
Greetings Everyone! I hope you enjoy this video of the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. It is a nice addition to the Parks from Oct thru the New Year. This video is available on my Christmas DVDs.
Have a Merry Christmas!
RU42
I went to Disneyland during Christmas a few years ago - and it was amazing. This was the first ride I went on! I loved it!
I found him! God, i remember the first time i saw Jack in the ride, i was like, "WOAH! Can i bring him home and put him in my front yard?" LOL. He was awesome.
I love this setting.
The first time I rode this and saw Jack, I knew I would love this attraction. To bad I was too scared to keep my eyes open for the rest. (I was eight)
@redrasegarden
True, very true. Walt Disney was a man of progress. He really liked the idea of progress.
@Xelku9
It almost was. The decor that was intended for WDW's Haunted Mansion went over to Tokyo Disneyland.
love this ride at this time
I love Haunted Mansion Holiday, but I always love the song in the original ride.
I keep dancing, while my friend stares at me, like, "Why are you dancing? The Nightmare before Christmas gives me the creeps."
And she's 11!
Both are fun. This one is a pretty nice change for the Halloween and Christmas seasons. It really brings the Nightmare Before Christmas to life. I'm looking forward to my trip over next week.
Yes, I will eventually switch to HiDef - _ RU
best part is at 13:11 the take on grim grinning ghosts
Thanks for the excellent video. Just returned from Disneyland 1 day ago... so glad to enjoy a reminder of this awesome ride. I am hoping that Disney World will offer this at the Holidays.
RU42, has an EBAY site where he sells all these DVD's and for those of you that are like me, he also offers CD's so that you can enjoy these in the car. Finally a quality edited version is available.
According to Wikipedia, they were going too, but the project was abandoned for some reason, and the props intended for WDW was taken to the one in Tokyo.
I think it would be a nice fit. I like Nightmare before Xmas and it does have a good fit at the HM.
Maybe someday it will start up.
Typically the week or 2 after Labor Day weekend.
ok
oh yeah, the EDI one is sorta like an amusement park where you can go like in a month or so
but the one in WDW is more lie a vacation spot
Yes it does. Actually it is late September but close enough!
I think my favorite part of the ride is the cross between Jingle Bells and Grim Grinning Ghosts. In fact, it's hard for me not to sing the two together when I hear Jingle Bells.
LOL
I'm a major fan of Nightmare before christmas and would love to go to this at this time of year.
I just got back from Disneyland and I must say, THIS version of the Haunted Mansion is incredible! See it if you can. Jack Skellington's Haunted Mansion is a million times better than the normal ride. Pictures, videos and soundtracks can't really do it justice (though this video is very good nonetheless--kudos). Still, you have to experience it in person.
Well, I guess that means when I get my better Web Developer (anyone hiring?) job I need to make enough money to hit the WDW in the summer, WDL in the Christmas season, and then go to Paris to hit up Phantom Manor.
i love this ride! i must have ridden it close to 30 maybe 40 times last year.
@SHANNONHAWKINSTV I agree.
love this ride ,always look forward to it
They sell it at the Disney Store in Downtown Disney during the overlay.
this was sooo fun
i love this version, but i also love the main version too haha
This is my favorite ride during the Holidays!!!
It is great
I like when Sally, the ragdoll, takes the place of the ghostly bride who says 'Hurry back! Hurry back! Be sure to bring your Death Certificate if you decided to join us! Make final arrangements now! We've been dying to have you!' I always loved that line from the ghostly bride.
wich haunted mansion were you on
wow how cool...I've been there tons of times but only once during the holidays and they didn't have this then...cool
i went to disney exactly a week ago and rode this ride twice=) i love it better than the normal ride=)
The Holiday Hainted Mansion is great for the Holidays but the original is better.
i love going to disneyland at christmas time for this reason
I can't wait to go on that one. It will be my first time riding the nbc holiday ride.
Being, that I hate coasters and most water rides, I love HM. The Holiday version is really fun. I live in Norcal so I get to go maybe once a year so I have seen both. The regular version's opening sequence usually startles me and I love singing along with "Great Grinning Ghosts." Still, this one is good too. This holiday version kicks the sh#t outta the Small world version.
do they do this at both parks?
Ohhh okay. c: Thankies.
Welcome
Thanks for the upload, ru42. My parents and I did see the new version of Haunted Mansion Holiday with the 🎩box 👻 that appears at the 🔚 of the attic with a ribbon on his 🎩. We were there last year in October and had a blast. 😂! Did you get to see the new gingerbread 🏠 in the Ballroom with all of the characters on it with the number "50" on it? We got to see it in November 2019 and it smelled good. 😂! Sorry to spoil the magic and fantasy for you. 😳
I love the ginger houses
@@ru42 I'm glad to hear that.
I went on this version of the Mansion for the first time on Saturday, and it became my favorite ride immediately. I went on it 4 seperate times
Oogie at the end, man. Scary stuff.
Boggie man
If you went to WDW at Christmas to see this you would be very disappointed...because this is at Disneyland not Disney World ;) - - RU
Actually it's produced by Buena Vista/Touchstone, which are indeed Disney. That's why they sell the merchandise and video at the Disney stores.
I love Oogie's commentary at the end.
"Fruitcake anyone?" When Jack said that, I nearly spit out my drink.
They need to give him a better voice, though. Why not just get Danny Elfman to come in one day and do it? SERIOUSLY.
@SteveCarras Guess the grass IS always greener on the other side
I believe it's because the audience isn't in to it. Disneyland gets a lot of repeaters and local business so doing things like this is no problem, but WDW gets mostly gets yearly visitors. Many of them only showing at Christmas time and when they come, they don't want the ride altered on the only time they can come
Oh they do it at Japan too
I got on this a couple days ago and it was so awesome I was amazed how they can transform haunted mansion into NBC theme
I would agree, but I wouldn't want that ride closed for two moths out of the year for it.
Nice change to have 2 rides in 1 location
i just went on it yesterday and it was awesome!!! i loved it so much! i could never get sick of it. they changed the gingerbread house..its different this year, its a gingerbread coffin with aroma scents of gingerbread.
@Dragonrider1227
Well, I am a native to Southern Calif. and I wish I right now lived near WDW!!
Wow!
Soo cool! Thanks for posting!
oh ok thanks well it would still be cool to go to WDW for Christmas thanks again
@craxygood
Agreed..
good vid, I love the epic chorus toward the end and around 13:58 is that Iago I here?
No Iago - and thank you
I just love the Holiday version. :)
The last time my family went to Disneyland was in October, and I fell in love with all the Halloweentime stuff. Next time we go to Disneyland im gonna try to go during October, it was fantastic.
Okay that's is SO cool!!
Thank you
So much nostalgia
Indeed
How on earth can I get the cementery song?! It's amazing!
