Revisiting this series after watching it new a year ago. This was an absolute banger of a first episode that set the tone for the series. Great work to everyone involved.

Simon is actually right, in the fact that you should be sneaky and avoid fights. I remember playing this game a few years ago and you really need to conserve ammo and not engage every enemy or you'll burn through all your resources.
For the first 2 hours yea. Then it gets really fun and becomes a robot slaughter fest.
Simon was refering to the rival system and the alarm system if they scream for help it usually comes.
Yeah that's going to get boring real quick, if we have to keep watching them sneak around and run away from every fight

The frist 15 seconds really embodies the neebs gaming group, Simon stuck in the bushes, Dora with a unconventional weapon, and the other guys pulling most of the leg work. All that was missing was thick charging into battle exclaiming "Don't you know who I am?!?! I'm thick 44"
This should be fun. I played this until the robots got insane, but I was soloing so as long as they work as a team...LOL!

Yeah, two things I want people to do more of... Play Gen Z and watch Neebs... Finally the worlds collide.
When the robots get to hard to handle change yourntactics, new things like hcdp for the recoiless rifle ( high corosive dual purpose) or maybe using emp cells on the smaller ones and kill the big onnspawning them in.

When Simon, in recent games, yells at the other guys for doing something they shouldn't be doing, like Appsro not crouching, it brings a smile to my face :)
I do not know why but while watching this it reminds me of a sleep over party back in the day and watching four friends play a game. The bickering, the panic, Dora saying stop running over my bike like the friend you always messed with and his had enough of it, neebs wanting to kill everything because there’s always that one friend. Expecting people to get neeb’d this series but excited to see it.
Dora: "There's a robot!"

Two things: (1) The number of times I've bought a game on Steam because I saw Neebs and crew playing it and thought it looked fun, they should really be getting some sort of affiliate money or kickbacks or something; and (2) I love many things about each and every Neebs member but I have to say that Dora laughing so joyfully whenever everything goes to shit gives me life. Can't wait to see more of this series!
it's weird how neebs has flipped in this series being full pro-killing and combat, while every other series he's the most pacifist basically and wanting to be a farmer.

Simon telling Appsro to crouch is a beautiful thing, many years in the making
I've played this game. It's going to be hilarious watching the guys try and play it. Little tip, if you want to get away with pot shots and sneaking REALLY close to enemies, go prone, not crouch. For some reason going prone makes you damn near invisible to most enemies. You can even take shots with a rifle without a silencer on if you go prone and you wont get enemy attention on the first shot. Even if you kill one of the enemies in the group with that first shot.
True I was shitting myself because I was close to death at the start and a rival hunter was next to me and I was sneaking with prone and it works
Great episode, Anthony is one of my favorite editors, the quality is top notch. Neebs gaming is lucky to have him.

I'm so happy you guys decided to play this game. It is very fun to play, and I'm sure it will be more fun to watch you guys play it.
Playing stealthily, avoiding robots, and saving ammo is a strategy. The downside is you are losing out on xp by not killing robots. xp levels you up which allows you to unlock skills.
Another strategy is to move cautiously and stealthily to scout and get in a position to kill robots efficiently and loot them for more ammo. Killing them efficiently means you learn their weak spots vs. their armored spots. For example, the dogs have gas tanks on top of their back. It will take fewer shots to kill a dog if you shoot their gas tanks than if you shoot the armored ass or armored legs. The tall bipedal hunters also have fuel on their backs so same deal. You will learn weak spots with experience. The point being kill robots to get xp and skills. Loot robots for ammo. Search bodies, cars, containers, etc. for gear, weapons, and ammo. You will need more powerful weapons the further you travel away from the start point.
Man I can already tell this is going to be an enjoyable one. Love the music on this one. Strong 80's vibes. Hope it's going to be a series.

when I started playing this I was so scared, because of neebs gaming. They made it look a lot more difficult. The game is a lot of fun. I hope they don't stop the updates. It needs work.

@@Furthermore26 I agree. I couldn't finish the last Lost Colony video, due to Ada and that dam trombone noise trying to sound like the teacher from Peanuts(Never liked it either). So annoying and unnecessary. Rather the video be short, than have clips of Ada trying to talk with a trombone added in to make it a little longer.

Despite shortcomings, Generation Zero is a game with a wonderful atmosphere. Seeing the Neebs team trying this was fun.
Laughed my ass off 89% of the time with this one. I love this style, I love the feeling of being transported to the 80s, and I wasn't even alive then! This is a hoot and so cool!
Simon's laughter throughout this episode is a good indicator of this series being a good one. Hey Simon great job this episode! As someone with long-term depression my happy/upbeat moods are typically few & far between so the surprise combo of my good mood + Simons good mood = a great day 😁👍

Funny when this game came out and had its first updates, I saw Fooster do a few videos on it with his friends and thought it would be perfect for neebs to play. Now that there’s more updates and it’s more optimized, this is like a dream come true!!!

Loot the cars one of them near the start has a note telling you where a hunting cabin is with a two star rifle also the colors of sparks when you hit has meaning, go for green. (Hit the canisters on the drgs' backs to kill then fast)

@Kermit with an AK its not really a bug its the tent being too low for the player to fit if you stand on the dead soldier its easier to get stuck

The guys immediately fell into '80's movie stereotype behaviors (the gung-ho jock, the excitable nerd, the cool-headed leader-type, and John Rambo) flawlessly. Come to think of it, they might have been there before this game. Great job with editing and cinematography on Anthony's part. Love the grass deformation, too, and how excited Apsro is for it!
