I agree on the fuel consumption which looks a bit high in first place but with a second look, please consider temperature and winter tyres, - which pending spec can easily add 0.5 to 1l. Also do not compare apple with pears (cars vs. 20 years ago) as weight of todays car is normally higher due to all other equipment onboard.
The consumption figures are really high considering the engine power, but on the other hand the performance is pretty good. This obviously isn't the car for long distance travel, much better suited to city and local roads.
I don’t know what this guy ist doing but I have a 8Y 30 TFSI (Sportback) and my consumption is about 5.5 to 7.0 l/100km. With my GTI I was about 8-11 l/100km. These engines are pretty good!
In my opinion these little engines of 1 liter or less capacity will disappear in the next future. Yes, those engines have a low consum but only in a very particular circunstances but in usual situations the consum is as high as other engines with more capacity ( engines from 1.5 to 1.8 or even 2.0 litres). I prefer one thousand times the 1.5 TSI than this 1.0 and not only for his better numbers but for his much better ratio between performances and consum in daily use. Good video!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yes but in country like Greece prefer small engines because of high taxes... 2 litres in greece pay taxes 750 euros per year plus the insurance 400 euros ...so for 2 littes or .1.6 you need 1000 per year... With 1.0 litres you pay only 85 euros per years...big difference that's why we prefer small engines with good horsepowers
@@Mr11ESSE111 it is true it is not the best engine, but it is way cheaper. I would not buy it. In my Arteon the 2.0TSI has a simmilar consumption with almost double hp and +500kg, sport tyres, 20 inch, ... This audi makes for a great entry level premium daily driver, but for the same price the octavia is a better choice.
The fuel consumption and the performance figures are like the 1.6 FSI from 20 years ago - which was really a good engine in my opinion, but so much for technological progress 😂
DSG or S TRONIC ??? After i saw the acceleration, think it's not a dual clutch because the driver does a launch control ( brake boost ). In dual clutch can't do it...
It's the same thing. Their names are different due to marketing procedures. At their core DCT,DSG and S-Tronic are the exact same automatic gearbox with double clutch transmision. Mercedes names them DCT, Audi S-tronic, and so on. The only difference is if the clutch system is wet or dry and the number of speeds it contains. That's all
@@zamadepuib3254 I know, it's all dual clutchs. I think better kind of automatic transmission is the classic planetary trans, and the cvt ( linertronic, xtronic, ivt )

temperatures are for others same too and this one litres engines consume alot in summer too

It eats/swallow(significantly) more fuel then those bmw 3 with 156hp or that audi a4 with 150hp 2liters engines even at lower speeds
Winter tyres and very cold weather
@@pollrodri6254 its not that, it eats before on tests similar consumption too with this engines in several vehicles

Small engines are all joke
And in premium brands they make no sense to spend that money for what
yes, they are basically milking of naive peoples
Why this 1litres engines exists it still mystery, higher consumption, less reliable,slower...
в передних фарах нижний прямоугольник весь вид портит...
bad consumption:P
3 clinder audi is not an audi,
it is Audi because they are for milking of naive peoples
plastic...more plastic...
Basically a VW with other name. Something like a Jetta
Most cars have plastic inside so what's the point?
@@RustyHeartsTOV to much plastic , unfortunatelly
and more price and that give Audi more profit
Interior quality looks way cheaper than previous A3,looks like more a Seat than an Audi
