They showed last night that UCONN is 0-3 when their opponent shoots 50% plus. They're undefeated when they shoot less than 50%. Purdue is certainly capable of shooting over 50%. They average very close to it.
@@hainesforohio7028 I said the same and it was so obvious, I was shocked to see analysts picking Purdue after how consistent UConn had been vs other good teams in tourney this year , it doesn’t matter who they played they weren’t being beaten in this tournament

eddy shoots down at the hoop. If cling kong can just stop that with arms straight up. no fouls. Don't let eddy shoot bodying into Clingan. Refs will call fouls on that. Hard to do.
Edey against other 7 footers Ballo and Hunter hasn't put up monster numbers. UConn has also beaten their common opponents by greater margins ( Alabama, Northwestern, Illinois, Gonzaga and Marquette ).
He had 22 against Ballo. That's only 3 points under his average. Also in a game where Smith had 26 and Loyer had 27. Edey didn't need to be dominant in that game, the offense was clicking in other areas. Purdue takes what the defense gives them.
What are you, a comedian? Ballo had 13 pts and 6 rebounds against Edey and looked intimidated. Edey had 22 and 9 boards vs. Arizona. Purdue was up big and Edey came out with some time left as well...Wildcats scored a couple last minutes looks to get it to 8 but the game was not close.

Not only do they have the dominant center, they have a talented team that communicates and make plays together. The team is far greater than the sum of its players.
I'm not sure if practicing against Will Berg translates to Clingan. If Clingan can play Edey without fouling and free the rest Uconn's defense to matchup, that would favor Uconn. Even if Edey gets his, I like the other matchups for Uconn's defense. They have a top 5 defense, though Karaban may be able to be attacked. On the other end, Uconn's offense is versatile and adaptable. Intruiging matchup. I guess we'll see.
Hopefully the refs stay out of the way. Nothing worse than key players sitting for halves. Edey I think will struggle with Clingan. Struggle meaning not basic hook shots low in the paint. I’m hoping it will be a good game
