I really enjoyed this game! My family and I play a variant where we auction two cards at the same time instead of just one. Definitely keeps the game faster paced and more competitive with the bidding. The biggest problem with auctioning only one card at a time is you find too often players just aren't interested in the card up for auction, especially the railroads since you need four of them to complete the set, which makes the game feel slow and boring at times.
A variant of this game that I came up with: When auctioning, you don't go in turn order. You place your money cards in front of you until you refuse to bid or you are the last player bidding. Then the last player still bidding gets the property for the price they provided. You may move wilds. You may steal properties of complete color sets. Anyone can play any action cards at any time. Nope only applies to one action card (for when multiple harmful action cards are played against you). You can nope a nope, even if you are not involved.
There's a similar bidding game called "For Sale" that's a bit more refined, and arguably better. Bid is a good introduction to bidding as it is simpler, but it is also more luck driven.
2:31 You do can steal a wildcard even if it is a complete set. You just can not steal a property card if it is a complete set of the same color. It is written on the back of the game manual.
Incorrect, I'm reading the instructions right now from a new pack of cards and the video is right: you cannot steal a Wild card if it is part of a complete set already. You must've read it wrong sorry.
So the way we played tonight made it kinda more fun imo, we used wild cards as a “shield card” where we could steal it and you couldn’t nope the steal of the wild card but if they played two steals you could nope it and keep the property card
Can you use the wild card "multicolour" to close one set? Example: I have one set that requires 3 cards to close it but I only have 1. In my hand, I have 2 multicolour wild cards. Can I use both wild cards to close a set of 3?
I own both, Deal is the better game. Just avoid the newest one in the blue box because it has terrible artwork that is hard to read, the old green box version is much better.
Ya que hacer intercambios no convendría porque a ese punto todos, o la mayoría, estarían a punto de ganar... Lo único que se me ocurre sería jugar con las cartas de acción hasta que alguien gane (gracias a los comodines y las cartas de robar propiedades)

We’re supposed to make action cards!” Tax bros:”me three!” Corner square gang:”me four!” Mr.monopoly:”you are not joining! I made action cards. And you utility bros cannot go!” Utility bros:”that’s not fair! You send us in monopoly deal, mr monopoly!” Mr.monopoly:”well in monopoly bid, you’re not joining!”
This looks like Uno, War, and Go Fish combined but with extra steps
True

2:42 him saying nope gives me a lot of ptsd in the days i played exploding kittens.
2:47 the way the left hand reacted after getting nope'd is kinda depressing

So Japanese bidding?

@@lorim2000 What it says on "action cards - wildcard"?
you can’t steal it
the host is back, yay.
What to do when I run out of property cards
Great explanation! Thanks!

It just made more that way than to leave “dead” property cards in the deck
Your video is so helpful, the instructions weren't much clear on the decks, thank you so much

Yes you can
Great game! less intense than 'Monopoly Deal' which is really good as-well. 1 of our house rules for both games.... 4 sets to win !!
Do keep 5 cards in your hands at all times? Also what if I’m playing and run out of money?
maybe you have to wait until is draw time , many times until you get money, soo i guess, manage your money?
There is no hand limit, and you only draw 1 card each turn, so you may have 1 card one turn and 10 on another
Nice video man I never knew how to play the bid one
So do you like Monopoly Bid or Monopoly Deal better?
I own both, Deal is the better game. Just avoid the newest one in the blue box because it has terrible artwork that is hard to read, the old green box version is much better.
I am going to say Deal.
If its my turn can i play action cards after the vendue of the property card before to finish my turn ???
2:07 is it legal to involve money in a trade?
There are no any limitations for trade, not mentioned in rules
What happens if you are just left with a nope card, do they lose
Can nope cancel a nope?
Nope. (I posted this comment just for dumb joke)
yeah it can lol
What if I run out of money in the middle of the game
What is meant from the youngest what If they the same age
Really good explanation thank you
Thank you for explaining so clearly😊😊
it's diferente with monopoly deal and monopoly the card game?
Is this the same as monopoly deal?
I have a question when you host an auction and you don’t have any action card what to do?
Not play any action cards and just go to the auction itself I would guess
What if the person that you gonna trade with did not accept the trade? Or can u trade with action cards?
Hello there.
Sorry, I know I'm pretty late...
But I'm still unclear about the trading part of the game...
Elaborate please?
what happens if the draw deck runs out and someone has all of the cards in their hand?
what happens if we run out of property cards and there is no winner?
Same!
What happens if one player runs out of cards ? Do they re-draw another 5 cards ?
Nope
@User 1224 Keep playing
@User 1224 No red cards left? Re-shuffle the discard pile and put it face down to turn it into a new draw pile
@User 1224 Keep playing. Everyone draws at the start of the host's turn, so it doesn't matter if you run out of cards.
If a player finishes all his cards on bid should he take 5 cards from pile?
Can you Nope a Nope like in Exploding Kittens?
How is the result if all property card is gone and still no one wins
Great, I can feel the sensation of getting Ash'd on Pot of Desires while playing Monopoly now.
I never thought that Monopoly makes card games.
Monopoly Deal is fun
It was informative
Who else dosent actually have this and just randomly watches this guys videos?
Thanks for the support!
@@TripleSGames I can only speak the truth.
I confess to being somebody like that, except I do have this game.
Bid seems to be a more simple game than Deal, in terms of gameplay, despite both card games. And don't get me started on Empire Card.
Good explanation
What if all properties have collected without making at least 3 sets?

It hurts so much watching you treat game cards like your standard disposable playing cards D:
Utility bros:”hey! We’re supposed to go with property gang!”
Action card bros:”me too! We’re supposed to make action cards!”
Tax bros:”me three!”
Corner square gang:”me four!”

Nope can be played by not only the host but any player
that is what he said.
After second, we all have to take one more red card?
