My grandmother was a dance hall dancer in the 1920s and my grandfather was a musician and that’s how they met! They both tried to teach me and my cousins the Charleston etc. in the 1960s but I was too busy being a hippie and thought this kind of dancing very unhip. Both of them are smiling in heaven seeing younger generations reviving this energetic, very hip dancing. The circle comes around yet again.
