I watched this over and over again. It's a work that impresses me very much and still gives the same impression to my heart. I have all the DVDs containing this work in the series. I also want to meet like this. All the works of "Little House on the Prairie" around this time are good and remain in my childhood.
6:40 the background noise! I love this SHOW! Especially this episode. I love to hike up a mountain with my mom and we go in different places but we know where we both are and we pray and read our scriptures. It's powerful.
God always answers our prayers... sometimes not in the way we want Him to..sometimes He says yes, sometimes no and sometimes wait..He always has our best interest in mind. Just like our own parents do.
Me and mom sat and watched all these episodes day by day then we watched the golden girls, now we're watching the waltons, :-) (well after Christmas we are) good old classics is what we need xxxxx this was the most sweetest episode from season 1 I cried when Charles held Laura in his arms at the end, it always ends happily ever after in this show, :) (apart from the last farewell) 😪
I agree. Though I hate the last episode in this series. The way they ended it was dreadful. I wouldn't even call it an ending. Still the best damn tv series around though.
Just came across this channel. Wa this video brings back great memories of watching LHOP with family. Especially this episode.. when Charles saw the cross. My sis and i shouted at the TV screen like football fans shouting at a football match on TV. "See the cross..come on." And when he did and took off on the horse we were like screaming and dancing. Been 30+ years now. Watching this show half the world away from hollywood on Borneo island Malaysia. Thank you for the posting
I loved this episode. It runs first in my list of favorites, followed by "A harvest of Friends," which was one of the first. I favorite part was when Charles found Laura's cross. Another touching part was at the end when they couldn't find a sign of Jonathan and where the dove flies away. I have heard bazaar but touching stories of people going through things like this. It is what the Bible calls, "entertaining angels unawares." I know this is fiction, but cannot help but imagine it as reality. Melissa Gilbert was a sensational actress. I think she was hand picked by Michael Landon. True or not, they had a very special bond both on and off screen.
I think it's bcuz of Michael Landon, the episodes are all very convincing and surreal! All of Michael Landon's show are so amazing just like him ! He is a good person and that's why God took him, all the evil ones are still on earth😫😩😩😫😥😢😰
Wish Michael Landon is still alive and continue making shows like these for the world full of hatred rightnow😇😇😅he is really an angel sent from above😇😇👍🏾👍🏾🙏
This is where Charles Ingles discovers the cross with Laura's name on it. Now Charles Ingles follows the stream to find the mountain where Laura Ingalls is. And then he realizes now that she is alive but he also realizes that he abandoned his daughter because of his son. The 🔥 is created so Charles Ingles knows where Laura Ingalls is.
I am 31 and being a guy i never watched this show but about 6 mouth ago my mom said you have to see this show and im glad i did this show need to be shown on Netflix and other streaming services now i think with how awful the world is now this show will help people relax
Mr Ingals loved his little girl luara (half pint ) very much. He didint know that God sent an angel ( johnathan) to care fo her till he found her. She was near by.
It was funny when Pa said he'd fill the canteens and then he began crying like a baby. As a kid I asked "why's he crying?" and my Mom said "Because now he figures he's lost TWO children."
No offense, but if you're offended by people talking about god, that's all well and fine, but you probably shouldn't be watching a show that has very heavy Christian themes where God is talked about ALL THE TIME.
He said he found it annoying, not offensive. And surely as a Christian you ought to be encouraging us heathens to watch Christian-themed TV shows, not discouraging us? ;) LHOTP was made to be enjoyed by all ages and all kinds of people. Don't claim it as your own just because your god is in it. LHOTP was not made by your church and does not belong solely to its followers.
I think the guy wants to keep the kid like as his own and take care of her at the same time. God can always here u no mater what. They left the bird to sad face. Its sad that she wants to die because she feels bad for the things she did... This story is so sad.
@Ghargr18 It's hard to keep silent when you are in love. If you enjoy seeing the love between even a make believe family although based upon a real one, that is a little drop of God's goodness being shown to you. He will reach out to you by whatever means necessary because He loves you.
"Go talk to Him child" WE all need to do that.
all my life heard stories of fathers & sons. now a beautiful story of fathers & their daughters. :)
I love Little House in the Prairie I grew up watching this show Michael Landon had the saddest cry he can make anyone cry
SHE IS AN AMAZING CHILD SHE WANTS TO GIVE HER LIFE TO BRING HER BROTHER BACK, AMAZING .
I watched this over and over again.

Wonderful performance in a most wonderful series
I love the part where he finds the cross... a sign from God... everything happens for a reason. Great episode
This is a masterpiece of television. Best show I have ever seen.
God always answers our prayers... sometimes not in the way we want Him to..sometimes He says yes, sometimes no and sometimes wait..He always has our best interest in mind. Just like our own parents do.
The perfect reply to Laura would have been:
God did answer a prayer. He answered your Pa's.
This was the best emotional scene of Charles having an emotional cry, wandering where to find his Laura next?
This is the BEST episode of ANY television series I ever saw...Period
He has to be forgiving,he wouldn't have anyone else to talk to! Awesome line
I love it too.

Rachel Fairfield Hope this doesn't spoil it for you but Hal Burton doubled for Landon in the scene where he's carrying her down the mountain.

Thes episodes are based on real life...that's why I love them so much

Laura mis-interpreted what Reverend Alden told her. Love this series.
Just ordered seasons seven, eight and nine.
CHILDREN HAVE STRANGE IDEAS SHE WANTED TO BRING HER BROTHER ALIVE AGAIN WHO HAD DIED AND THOUGHT IF SHE GAVE HER LIFE HE WOULD COME BACK.
It was funny when Pa said he'd fill the canteens and then he began crying like a baby. As a kid I asked "why's he crying?" and my Mom said "Because now he figures he's lost TWO children."

did it say what caused the baby's death. It said something about red blood cells. But they didn't say what was wrong with him
He had Leukemia or what they called cancer of the blood. But the Real Freddy, they never found out what it was that caused him to die at 9 months old,
my daddy even loves me he in heaven

LHOP ~ The Lord Is My Shepherd (2) prt4
This scene makes me cry every time I see it...He could make a onion cry
What Is This Episode About? Love Michael Landon Anytime He Cries In Things It Makes Me Cry.
This is a great episode. I love it...but, there's one question I've always had. Who put the fire out?
Jonathan
@@kellylaflash1016 How? Did he blow it out? Or use a fire hose?
This man can make a onion cry
what was she planning on doing once she saw Pa?
Thankyou, Captain Brainwashed.
I wonder if Michael Landon was a Jew for Jesus
a fire?
キリスト教の熱心な信者には良い動画である。
God did, DUH
@Blessed2BeeAlive white*
