Which is the diference between ceramic radiator and the oil filled radiator in efficiency? Can you do a video about it?

With excellent heat retentive properties, both types are highly efficient. If we were to pit the two against each other however, ceramic radiators would win as the most efficient. This is because they use ceramic stone blocks that have outstanding thermal properties, retaining and emitting heat more effectively than other electric radiators. They also supply 50% of their warmth as radiant heat (oil-filled are about 30%), which warms people and objects directly instead of getting lost to airflow, draughts, or high ceilings. The rest of their heat is emitted through convection, which helps to quickly bring rooms up to temperature. This makes ceramic radiators particularly efficient in open plan areas and other hard-to-heat spaces.
To maximise the efficiency of both, look out for radiators fitted with precise digital thermostats which maintain set temperatures without fluctuation. Smart features like WiFi control, 24/7 programming and open window detection also help with efficiency.
This is a great topic to cover in a future video, so thanks for your feedback.

Are these 3-4x more expensive to run than gas central heating and traditional radiators?

While it’s true that gas is cheaper per kWh, around 50-70% of heat can be lost to the combustion process and through poorly insulated pipework. Electric radiators like the iQ Ceramic are 100% efficient at point of use, ensuring you’re only paying for the heat you use. Plus, when paired with a green energy provider or renewable energy source, you get the added benefit of a completely carbon neutral heating solution.
The iQ Ceramic allows you to manage your radiator on an individual level, so unlike gas central heating which relies on a centralised unit, electric radiators provide a way to zone your heating and only heat rooms in use. With all the energy-saving features of the iQ Ceramic, you’re also able to customise your heating and tailor it to your lifestyle - motion sensor mode, WiFi app control, 24/7 programming, adaptive start etc. are all in-built and allow for either complete micromanagement or a more set-and-forget approach depending on your preference. Each feature is designed to streamline energy usage and help slim down running costs. All this plus DIY-friendly installation and no yearly servicing make the iQ Ceramic a cost-effective and future-proof heating solution.
We hope this has helped. For more information, check out the resources below or get in touch with our support team on 0330 30 4444.

I recently purchased seven of these rads in a variety of sizes to heat a converted commercial property. Had I know how expensive they were going to be in an open-plan environment I would have gone Infrared instead. I know its winter but I have used over 7000 units of electricity in one single month alone (read that again🤕) never running them higher than 20 degrees at any given time. They continually switch themselves off and cold stone cold in no time at all and were so ineffective that I purchased several 2000w, £15.00 fan heaters that were ten times more effective at heating my home in seconds. Had I know this when I bought them I could have saved myself over £3000.00 in useless heater. All the fancy 'gizoms' they come with amount to nothing if they cant do the one job they are advertised as doing - providing economical heating.😠😠😠
