Cartridge Filter Changeout at an Industrial Plant

In less than four days, Pneumafil's service team removed and replaced over 700 filter cartridges in a customer's gas turbine inlet filter house.
The Matrex™ media in the new filter cartridges was chosen for its ability to repel water. When water collects on the surface of a filter that already has dirt and or salt collected on it, some contaminants are dissolved in the water, particularly salt. If the media is not water repellent, the water seeps through the media carrying the contaminants with it to the clean side of the filter and eventually into the turbine compressor causing fouling or other problems.
