What a beautiful comment! Thanks so much for letting me know! I really hope to continue sharing the world in this way, letting the beauty of the place do most of the talking
Pope John Paul was known as the daredevil of the Tatras for his feats on skis ⛷. I stayed in Poprad 🇸🇰 back in September and on a whim decided to take tram 🚋 Vysoke Tatry. Saw a fox 🦊 (used to having humans around)on the top as I waited for ski lift back down as my feet were soaked from snow turning to slush. Noticed that folks had spikes covering shoes for much needed traction. Slovakia also has got great lodges for drinks and warming soups. They’re still proud of their bidding for Winter Olympics site back in 2002 (Salt Lake winner) and 2006 (Torino winner). Poprad had a great pool where I could recover on day after as my leg’s needed rest. These resorts so much better than Tahoe (1960 Olympics) which has nearly nonexistent public transit and disgruntled staff due to housing crisis.
This hiking trail between Morskie Oko and Five Polish Lakes is closed in winter because... well... it's steep and dangerous ;) Of course you can but should you? Up to you but for the record it's closed for tourist until June ;)
Well done again but....for sure you were not prepared for the hike :) In such conditions crampons and trekking poles are a must ! ps. both huts (at Morskie Oko and in 5 Lake Valleys) are not restaurants / cafes but mountain shelters. In fact this at the Wielki Staw is the highest on the polish side of Tatra mountains. You can sleep there.
Hello, I'm Brazilian and I'm planning a trip to Poland, what date did you travel to Zakopane to get the colorful trees like this? Will I be able to get snow on the mountain at the end of October like you did? Thank you and greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷
Hey! I was there in October. I think the snow was a freak thing, but it was so beautiful! Can’t speak to what it is like every year as that was my first time there but hope you get some nice snow
Hi may i ask. You came and hike in early October so the trail will be covered by snow for whole year? Because I planning to come and do my europe trip in June 2024
Was just there Thursday and Friday. Crowds like Disneyland. Go on a rainy day if you insist on going. When I got to the lake there were tons of people drinking and smoking. Felt like a total tourist trap. A family I met in Krakow said the same thing. They drove through Zapokane, saw the crowds, tons of tourist shops, and kept going. That wasn't even the weekend. Good luck with parking too. The people I met and had to deal with in Zapokane were also the rudest and most miserable folks I've ever been around, and I've been to dozens of countries. I wish I never went.
. I've been to Poland twoce and my best experiences were Krakow, which is one of my favorite places, and in Wroclaw. People were very friendly, helpful and warm. I still can't believe the behaviour of the people in Zapokane. I've been to a lot of countries and have never seen such rude, mean and miserable people. I'm not letting these jerks ruin my opinion of Poland. But I would recommend everyone avoid Zapokane. I' was told by multiple people to enter the Tatras in Slovakia but without a car it looked tricky. Sadly I didn't take their advice. All the best to you!
@@user-eu4qh1rw3bI recommend going to different mountains, like babia Góra in zawoja, its an amazing place, maybe smaller than the tatras but its also beautiful and there is no crowds. I don't reccomend the moskie oko much if you dislike crowds, id reccomend something like kacprowy wierch or Giewont. But ive usually had very very amazing experiences in Poland and i really reccomend it ❤😀 my numer 1 favourite place in europe
Using drones in Tatra National Park is prohibited. Just for the record, because you didn't mention that fact. The fine is 50% less than in USA, please remeber that next time.
@@thetravelingzam I bet you knew that, hard to notice entering the Park. Nevertheless, nice video, but some rules have sense, though it's hard to not showing off nowadays, isn't it?

Zakopane is absolutely stunning! I had never heard of it but my girlfriend used to live in Krakow and insisted we go. I'm very happy we went!
Yeah I barely knew of it also until I was in Krakow and so glad I made the effort to go. One of my favorite places in poland
What a breathtakingly beautiful video!

0:07 7:12 8:19 Giewont mountain - due to shape of that mountain there was a legend that mountain is a sleeping knight.
Oh cool! It does kind of look like that
Wooow ! I didn't know the Tatras were so majestic! Equally impressive as the Apls!!
Me neither!! I was super impressed and in awe

If you are planning a trip to the Baltic Sea. It will be a completely different experience. A flat landscape and a lot of sand instead of snow.😂
True! I also went to gdansk. Working on that video now

Sorry you had such a bad experience. I went in early October. Maybe fewer crowds in the shoulder season but still pretty busy
