I have my first lot of dissections coming up for uni in the next few weeks (I want to become a zoologist) and one of the dissections is a toad. I avoided it in high school... I can no longer run from this. I'm trying to desensitise myself from the *squirms* and *internally screaming* that comes with the thought of performing a dissection. Our school did pig fetuses. I never personally did it because I left that school after ninth grade but my home room which was a science classroom smelled very odd for a few days. It wasn't exactly terrible, but there was an odd smell. I was terrified of having to do it but I do appreciate and find interesting the concept of dissection now.

+Brianna Gordy That's the formaldehyde used to preserve the animals in. It stinks when you're close up to it. I hated it. dissecting in it's self didn't really bother me, but the smell of the formaldehyde made me feel sick.
