Absolutely breathtaking in its achievement. One of the most brilliant mountaineering feats I have ever come across. Take a bow guys. This traverse just blew my mind with its knife edge walk in the clouds and the views to die for. Thank you for the pics.

I just read Reinhold Messner's SOLO Nanga Parbat, and it's cool hearing this story of Merkl and the others in the '30s and beyond. Was looking for some cool Nanga Parbat footage when I came across this video. Thanks for it-- Makes me feel a deep desire to see this mountain with my own eyes!
