- Unboxing the NIID Mega Radiant Sling
I backed this product through Kickstarter. This is my forth time backing this creator.
The version here is the gray cutproof material version of the Mega Radiant Sling which was $20 extra on Kickstarter, and initially it was only limited to the first 100 backers. Later on because of popular demand, they offered more of this colour to other backers.
It’s a lot bigger than the previous iteration of the Radiant Sling. It can hold my 13” Macbook Pro, and still has plenty of space, so I think tit should be able hold a 14” laptop without any problems.

Kinda sad the back compartment lost it's 2 little pockets
is the excess strap dangling after shortening? any way to hide the excess?
The excess strap is mainteined and held by a pull tab, so it isn’t annoying like it is on the originial Radiant model. I’ll posted a couple of pics in the Community section of my channel.
Nice unboxing video! Would you say that the durability of the non-mega version is good for you so far? And how do you think the mega version will probably compare to the original for durability? Hoping this bag will last me for life like my Crumpler has.
I don’t think durability is an issue with either bag.

I got my tracking number on April 13th. I was probably one of the first to get it.
Can 15 inch MacBook Air fit in?
I very much doubt it. The company’s own specs says that it can accommodate only up to a 14” laptop.
Give me the length and height and I can try to check it with a tape measure.

@@ryanwithcubing369 I made a 2D cardboard template to the width and height you advised. It probably won’t fit in the PC compartment, but it will fit in the middle section next to the PC compartment. Please note that this was a mostly flat non-rigid piece of cardboard. Height isn’t the main issue. Width is probably the main concern. The main opening of the bag is about 35.5 cm.
If you want to be 100% sure, ask the manufacturer about it to be safe. Ask them if a 15” Air will fit.

Didn't know the back side is a solid black. 😮 How is the cut proof Fabric feels? Is it too rough that you can get a scratch when you slide your arms?
@@nate.c524 it has a rough feel but it doesn’t hurt when rubbing on it.
