Hey, adding to the equipment information. I have two sets of equipment for two small locations. The first set I bought I got a really good deal on used balancer and tire machine (coats balancer John bean machine good brands) and they have been really good. I’ve only had to put a regulator on the machine, and a hose on it from regular wear. Now my second location, I bought two brand new machines, not name brand. Just affordable (they cost double then my used set) I’ve had them for a few months. And already have had issues and there is modifications I’m going to be making so they are more ergonomic to use and practical. Which is unfortunate I was hoping buying new meant it would be good but my brand new machines have give me more issues in a few months than my used ones have in four years. Also parts for my name brand used machines are readily available as well which is a huge perk in case something breaks in a busy tire season
I bought my tires on Amazon for $50 each. I installed them on the rim myself using tire irons. So I changed my tires for $200. Now I'm dreaming of opening a tire shop. Hey Fernando, I got a feeling you will be a millionaire ...if you are not already.
Wow, that is awesome man, you have the drive and persitance to change tire yourself using tire irons, I think you are fit for a shop! If you open it, I wish you lots of success, and let me know how to help you! and no haha not a millionaire, but soon God willing!
Hey, thank for the equipment info… could you do one where you mention what paper work you need and the things like that to register a Business legally with the city or state and what license you need… thank you in advance

Wow...I'm very proud of you ! I have an idea of open such business I'm actually searching for info about what I supposed to have to start shipping tires,I'm at southern Africa (Namibia).
How much are you going to charge for your POS after the 1 year? Also what do you suggest to start accepting cards ASAP? I’m about to take over a shop that has been open for 7 years, older gentleman is selling me the stock of tires and equipment and letting me take over the lease. I’m not too experienced in tires but totally into cars and diy mechanic stuff. This opportunity just landed on my lap and I really want to take advantage of it. I stumbled across your channel and have been binging your videos. Great stuff!

I’m looking to open up a tire shop but I have no clue on how to start it this video is very helpful. How does one start learning about this business. And if u had to put a number of cash to start it up do u have one? $?
Hello Saul, I know you can open a tire shop man, as long as you got what it takes and the patience you can do it. Really I would say it just takes at least 6 months for a good store to start breaking even, but after that initial phase you really can start reaping the fruits of your hard work. So make sure you got enough for rent saved up, and be willing to but some 6-7 days of hard work per week, and I can guarantee you it will work out.
Hi there! I was very happy when i fell on this video that can helps me to know how can i start from the crash to the sky with the project that i have. There’s a gang of info on your channel. Thanks for posting all this stuff I’m about to start binge watching. I’m looking to open a “business” but more for myself than anything to cut cost down. I use a lot of tires (new and used) for drifting. I would like to have the ability to get tires at a discounted rate (new and used) but not necessarily wanting a shop. More like an on need basis. Do you think something like this is feasible?
My pops has a repair shop where i work we do brakes maintenance suspension electrical u name it but one thing i wanna add is tires to the shop really stuck on the idea to start up but im tryna watch videos to learn as much as possible

Thank you for all the information. I am looking into opening a used tire shop and would like some guidance, and as well use your POS. Is there a way I can speak to you directly? I would really appreciate it. I have the money ready to start. I am now looking for a place.
Hello, thanks for watching, do you mean the cones to use for different wheels to balance the tires or the balancing weights that we use to clip on wheel?
Hello, thanks for reaching out, I do have a promo if you are a startup with a trail period, feel free to contact me via email at fernandoh@tirebase.io. We have alot of moving pieces right now but will gladly give you a promo!
No need for certification if just working on tires, and even in auto repair, i've seen shops just hire mechanics but never confirm certification. But everyone runs their business as they please. x
It really depends on how much money you want to have extra for operational purposes. You may only need $50,000 to open it, but you will need to market it, pay salaries, etc, until you can make enough business to cover your expenses. So Ideally a $100,000 - $150,000 I would say could be a good amount.
Hit me up, i got people asking for used tires every other day. I don't sell them now in bulk, but can help you connect with others that are looking for them.
You’re teaching people to be employees to themselves. $25 markup? What!? Stop it! Either you will be working on everything yourself! Or paying your employees minimum wage. Just stop it.
Thanks for watching, I respect your opinion. I think it really depends on what people want, I know alot of tire shop owners that charge more or charge less, at the end of the day you got to do what ever it takes to get people coming inside the door and closing deals. However I do agree with you in the fact that being the cheapest is not something anyone should strive for.

Biggest mistake was partnering up with the building owner that never works out I’m talking from experience but other than that good job 👍
You were so right. He ended up closing this shop due to conflicts with the building owner lol
How did you find your location we have been looking for months?
Well its really a thing of just doing homework, looking on the street, asking friends or other store owners. Eventually you'll find one.
Where are you located ?
I'm based of Las Vegas NV, USA. Thanks for watching!
Yes Fernando keep it up
Never give up no matter how bad the situation is🇬🇹❤️
What percentage is the landlord taking?
I think landlord wanted 50% of the business. or to start the profits.
I didn’t know negotiations where possible when getting your tire changed kinda odd
They are but purchase amount has to make sense or must be a good customer to to supplier where they are willing to cut you a discount.
I bet those machines can be fixed for pretty cheap
Yes I think they were at the end I just ended up giving them away to the landlord instead let him fix them. But i'm sure they could have been fixed.
How I can contact you
good video 👍🏼
