The chain sentinels spewing chains from their hands suddenly stop and shoot up into the air, revealing the source of the chains which appears to be holes filled with a strange, viscous liquid that both shimmers and dissolves to smoke. The sentinels begin to pull on the chain, wrenching them from the earth. Tris climbs the ramparts for a better look while Gulliver the Giant uses his body as a bridge to help hundreds of commoners escape.
