Call Quality from your outdoor test:
    1. Sony's WF-XB700's ( i feel like these sounded the most natural, good volume, maybe a tiny bit of background noise)
    2. Ticpods (a bit quiet but clear and zero background noise coming in)
    3. Galaxy Buds+ (sounded clear and no background noise but very tinny)
    4. Pixel Buds (Clear and loud but moderate background noise leaking in)
    5. Jabra's (maybe you were still setting up your camera? sounded muffled/hollow and some noise coming in)
    6. 1More (really muffled)

@@MikeOBrienMedia I really am getting close to pulling the trigger, but I have qualms about things like durability and volume. I do a lot of yard work and use string trimmers and lawn mowers, and I work in another environment that has a lot of loud fans all the time. I'm currently using a pair of Bose earbuds that have been very underwhelming, and I have to use them close to max volume all the time to hear anything, and if I'm using a string trimmer forget about hearing anything at all. The basic question is how would the Buds+ or even the Jabras hold up?

Well the pixel buds weak insulation is not a down side at all. It was made for people who don't like the full insulation that makes you hear your steps and builds up pressure inside your ear. I switched from jabra to pixel and even tho Jabra is good to me not having that complete insulation feels really nice. Make sure you try all ear tips and do not push them into your ears like crazy, I know it feels like it could fall out but trust me with the right tips it won't. I agree on the base It's not gonna bust your ears out but for an average music listener is perfect.
    Great video tho 👏👏👏

The taotronics soundliberty 53 are really good with basic noise cancellation. The have 40 hours with the case and are super sleek. The only thing I have found that is bad is that they are difficult to clean as the speaker grill isn’t super secure so when cleaned with a q-tip it sometimes breaks. However they replace it if it happens within 3 years of purchase. These cost about £30-40

Started earbud odyssey with Galaxy Buds plus. They sounded great, lasted long, charged fast BUT left earbud kept falling out and rubbed left ear raw on high spot atitragus.
Traded for Galaxy Buds Live that sounded fantastic BUT left bean kept falling out, and rubbed same spot but not as bad so I traded up to 75t Active AND they were very comfortable, sounded great, and did not rub a sore spot, BUT left earbud kept falling out.
Was about to give up until I read about SpinFit 360 eartips, and Jabra 75t Active no longer falls out, are much more comfortable, and sound is cleaned up.
After 75t ANC update, out of curiosity, I tried the Jabra 85t, BUT they fell out of and rubbed raw spot left ear.
So to literally keep from throwing money on the ground 75t Active is overall best, especially at $150 Christmas 2020 sale pricing.

Spin-fit tips are absolutely essential for the Pixel-Buds. They original tips are too firm, and with the plastic wing, they irritated my ears a lot. The spin-fit tips completely fix this issue and make them extraordinarily comfortable.

The Jabra's sounded the best mic-wise. However, I could tell the Galaxy buds allowed less background noise in.

I had the Samsung Buds (washed them case and all so the case stopped working) and bought the Jabra elite75t...
I have to say, going from one to the other was a mistake. The noise cancelling is better by far with the buds! Another thing that i really dislike about the Jabras is that the Bluetooth operates through the right bud only (then they pair together)... What o mean is you can't make the left one out and media will continue, but if you take the right one out all media with stop. When I have to take one out. I usually take the right one out and there is no way to change this. Also, with longer wear, even with the smallest tips, the Jabras cause physical discomfort. The only plus from the buds to the Jabras for me was the year through... The Jabras hear through function almost sound as if you didn't have then in (unless you had media playing then it was basically non existent, which means I would just take them out)... Oh and the battery is a bit better than the standard Buds (doesn't sound like the battery is better than the Buds+).
I am switching back to Samsung but going for the Buds Plus! Thank you for the various review and comparisons on them.

I think you should include a control for the call audio comparison where you include what the audio when using your phone's microphone sounds like. Even if everyone doesn't have the same phone, it might make a good baseline

Hey, great review, really helpful. Although i have a problem deciding. How about the VOLUME ? How loud they can get ? I'm trying to upgrade my Meizu EP52(which is a great pair, but i'd like to move to TWS world) and none of the TWS i tried could achieve neither the sound quality nor how loud these can get. Although the ones i tried are cheap ones. I was leaning towards Liberty 2 Pro but the hissing issue is a no go for me. I walk a lot do little workout, and was looking into 75T(NOT the active one) and with 75T's not having wing tips, what would you recommend ? Thanks again for great content!

Excellent review. I find one if the hardest decisions about choosing a pair is what if I change phones and go from Android to iOS or vice versa. Have you had a chance to compare to the newly released Klipsch T5 II True wireless which starts at the $200 price point?

JABRA THE BEST IN ALL......I LOVE BASS, COMFORT,RICH LOOK, QUALITY,APP, CONTROL.
I THINK OF BUYING IT BUT ONLY THING CONFUSES ME IS.....
BUT MIC QUALITY COMPARING WITH BUDS PLUS.......ITS TOTALLY DOWN I THINK
BUT WE DON'T BE IN NOISY ENVIRONMENT MUCH......
    WHAT'S YOUR SUGGESTIONS
75t vs buds plus considering this mic also
    ???
CAN JABRA FIX MIC WITH FIRMWARE UPDATE????

I saw the rumours that the Galaxy buds will be releasing a new model named Beans within this year with anc with an estimated price of $150. Do you think I should wait for the new model? Or should I take the buds plus version, because now there is a promotion so it’s around $100 ?

The features i want aren't as common: pass-through or transparency mode, ability to use one bud and charge the other, waterproof, and finally, some kind of finder. Like on an app, and either the case or bud(s) make a loud beeping. Tough to find a top 10 list based on these

    • @leo_nid
      @leo_nid 2 ปีที่แล้ว

honestly most wireless earbuds today have everything that you mention, if the earbuds have ANC it's almost guaranteed they have transparency mode, most earbuds can be listened only using one, and most fitness earbuds have good water resistance (such as jabra's earbuds). And for the finder, not really a beeping, but with some it os possible to track your headphones, a reviewer will often mention this is they include the app in their review.

@mike - thanks so much for the TicPods ANC review. Somehow you seem the first to market with this pair so kudos to you. You mentioned doing a budget headphone review so I was curious why you ended up putting the TicPods with this group and not budget. Also do you plan to review the Soundcore Liberty airs/pro? I'm curious how those stack up vs the big brands. Thanks again and appreciate the detailed review.
