This process still has me very confused. Despite the simplicity of the explanation (and thank you so much for it!) the information and instructions on the sites and within the forms are so convoluted. On the M30 E application form provided to me, one line read: 'An Original official academic record reflecting the courses passed in different years, if the application is based on the grounds of post-school qualifications, with a prescribed minimum duration of at least three years uninterrupted study (RSA students only)' If I understand this correctly, one has to go and study for a related qualification for at least three years?! In which case, what's the point of even applying for exemption if you have to go and study for 3-4 years anyway before you can even start with the degree, which would make it 6-7 years of study in total. And the courier and certification process also sounds daunting. Courier all (original) documents to USAF. They courier it back. Then you courier it to the registrar of the institution you want to apply at in order for them to certify the documents, and they courier it back to you. Then you have to courier it to the USAF *again*. And after all that, the institution may still not even accept you. I really hope I'm just grossly misunderstanding, but by the sound of it, you've either had an INCREDIBLY lucky or vastly different experience before they changed anything. Because if my interpretations are correct, applying for an age exemption is far more of a waste of time than just going the dreadfully long route to qualify for a degree anyway.
In matric I got admited to a bachelor's degree but did a Diploma in Science then did Btech in Science.... I really didn't understand these things when I finished matric.... But really really I wanted nothing to DO with school 🙈 My family forced me...but now I'm pleased.
I was not ok with my physics..I wanted to upgrade it(I don't even know for what reason) but my dad said no damn ways..and I'm so glad I listened...I did not even need physics for my degree but bengi phapha nje

I applied to other universities and I've been getting the kicker. I wanna start another degree but I don't have enough APS points even when I appealed the applications with the proof of my NQF level (and I did check that my qualification does have a SAQA number). So I just need a reconfirmation that I can apply at the USAF for the matric exemption in order to study for the degree that I want. Or will it be a strenuous back-and-forth task?

Our schools are not doing enough to teach us about the different options we have. They just tell us to pass and go to university.
