👍👍👍🥂🌞🌹💕Кэтлин умничка)))) ♓
My wife uses grape jelly and chili sauce.sooo good.
Classic Midwest recipe. If you haven't heard of this, you're probably not from here.
I like to melt some butter into the barbecue sauce and jelly (slowly, so you don't break it), and use cold, unsalted butter, lard, or tallow (butter is my favorite) in the venison instead of the egg. It takes a little extra time to chill them down again to firm up, but it's absolutely worth the extra half hour.
I am from Puerto Rico now living in northeast Georgia. My late wife used to make this recipe for parties alot. So I think this is a recipe used by the better chefs all around the world.
I'AM FROM MANITOBA,CANADA, AND HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS RECIPE FOR OVER 50 YRS . ONE THING I DO DIFFERENTLY IS I HEAT THE JELLY AND BARBEQUE SAUCE FIRST THEN POUR OVER THE MEATBALLS, JUST SAVES TIME IN THE SLOW COOKER, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK .
We just made these tonight using using 3 pounds of deer. They were excellent. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Looked amazing. Will have to try this out. Unfortunately my freezer is almost empty. It is almost time for me to fill it back up. Good luck to all here in the near future.
Make this all the time for Football Saturdays!
I used grape jelly and chili sauce. It’s good stuff.
Maybe regional-ish recipe? My mom always made this when I was a kid here in Michigan. Looks killer! Can't wait to try with this year's venison. Nice job!
Started out making this with the little smokies sausages like my grandmother made, then switched to deer, and elk, even bison and bear. Always delicious, do it every year for supper bowl ,and Daytona 500 parties
My mom always made these growing up in Missouri. But she made the meatballs as regular meatloaf recipe and rolled into balls and bake in oven on a pan instead of one big loaf. We use grape jelly and chili sauce. Tip: It's easier to heat and mix the jelly and sauce in a pan by itself and then pour over meatballs. Because if the meatballs are tender they will break apart when trying to mix in a crockpot. The absolute BEST way to eat them is to scooped them up with Nacho Cheese Doritos!!! Seriously try it next time!
Been making them like that for years they are so good
"I'm the only one eatin' it", my first thought was poor camera person left droolin'. 🤣
Glad you did a recipe. I will try that one. Appreciate your hard hunting and tips.
Mom made these same meatballs when I was a kid. They are VERY tastey!!!!
I gotta try this some time. Thanks for the video young lady!!!
My dad made grape jelly meatballs with BBQ sauce. They were great, he passed away in 2016
You are soooo Cute !! can cook and a great hunter ! love your vids !! i am a 60 year old buzzard deer hunter ... Its nice to see young folks like you ..
dear kaytlin, we use a good lot of or hunted roe deers, fallow deers and wild boars for minced meat, I find pure deer minced meat always too dry, so my tip, either mix it with some fatty minced beef, or just knead some butterflakes into the deer meat, especially when u want to make burgers for bbq, love your content and best wishes form the Danish Border 🙃
Definitely going to try these
I was just telling my fiance we should make some venison meatballs not even 20 minutes ago! what perfect timing, definitely going to try.
Funny i'm a generation older but learned the grape jelly thing from my grandma too. It's a Virginia thing too haha
I made these many years ago. They are great!
Been eating these in Florida and Bama for years! Absolutely adore and love them! As I'm sure others have said, we use chili sauce and grape jelly in ours. Truly delectable dish! 👏👏👏
Smucker's grape jelly, Gray poupon mustard, and snack sausages in a crock pot is my recipe with Jelly. Odd combination but tastes great. 1 jar of each.
Great recipe. I also use some parsley as well.

Nothing like venison with grape jelly! One of my favorite recipes is fried backstrap on homemade biscuits with grape jelly

My wife makes these all the time for football games. Never used venison. Will now use my venison burger. Thanks.
A professional at work 👍!!!!
We do frozen meatballs with grape jelly and chili sauce for party appetizers but the BBQ sauce definitely interest me!! Time to thaw out some venison and try it Maus style!!
We also add in shrimp cocktail sauce
In addition to being a great hunter, you also know how to cook, congratulations!
Another great recipe and a further string to your bow! We’ll be trying this in Scotland tout suite.

I have made the same Recipe, but cooked as a sauce in the Crock Pot, not Meat Balls. I served over a bed of Mashed Potatoes. The flavour

been doin this for years, just ketchup and jelly ...damn fine eatin!
Sounds like a great side dish for company over have to give it a try 🍇💗
Speaking of simple...I've never shared this old secret but since I'm getting old and you seem like the kinda person who would really put this to use, here it is:
Take a glass and put 2 heaping tablespoons of apple butter, 3-6 dashes of hot sauce and fill double what you have with coca cola and stir thoroughly. Have deer tenderloin sliced less than 1/2 thick and have grill hot. Place tenderloin on grill and baste with haste. Let cook 3 to 5 minutes per taste, flip and repeat. Enjoy Apple butter venison.
I always muscle out my hind quarters while the deer is hanging there's 3 muscles on each leg. Just find the separation and make your cuts then kinda filet off the bone. You will be able to remove veins, arteries and limp nodes. Also once you have individual muscles you can treat each one like a tenderloin. You may have to tenderize an older deer but you will be pleasantly surprised with the ease of working with them vs a hind quarter. I do the apple butter on the younger doe's leg muscles that I harvest and they melt in your mouth. Hope this suits you. Feel free to add it to your repretra. Enjoy kiddo. Safe hunting to you.
Looks pretty good.... I'll go tell the wife to make some :)
Awesome video! 🤘🏼
Looks great! My wife makes meatballs 1 part grape jelly to 1 part mustard in crock pot
I use an Ice Cream Scoop to get a consistent size

Nice cooking show but I need to see you smoke some Venison on the end of an arrow!😁
I'm gonna try these for my guys fishing trip next spring, looks like it's nice and simple with very few ingredients.
Just to be the donkey that I am. How many sides does a meat ball have? 😂.
Awesome Video
I have done this for years too. Never with venison. My recipe is Italian meatballs, grape jelly and chili sauce. Also eat on hoagie bun. Looking forward to trying your twist to a fone meal. Ty yummy
Have you tried sweet and sour sauce mixed with mayonnaise for dipping chicken nuggets. Awesome and no msg too.
My Dad made that recipe when I was growing up. (WV)
It work great on bear meat
Cool look great 👍 👌
This meal looks pretty good. Have you ever tried it with sautéed peppers?
Not sure if it would help or not but my wife uses a ice cream scooper to make the meat balls makes it super fast and they end up all being relatively the same size
Thats a beautiful home. Lots of nice mounts in background. Is this your house?
Nice
You have taste in even choke cherries 😋
