    Hi, thank you for this video. I had a quilt shop so of course my husband insisted on me getting a Gammill. Yes! I love it, and it is serving me well. But I would go to the shows and see the Bernina 24Q on a 14" frame and go wild with delight at seeing all the creative stitching it can do. So yes I bought one. Now I am learning to be a creative artist with this new machine and using my Gammill for all charity quilts!

    My wife and I purchased a red Nolting Pro Series 24" longarm with Intelliquilter computerization in 2014. It's been a very good machine and one of the deciding factors guiding my purchase was the in-home set-up of the system by the dealer and the in-person hands on tutorials over a couple of days which they provided free as part of the purchase. Excellent customer service!

    A Gammill is a true industrial machine and will last for decades and decades. There are many instructors offering online contact that have solved the camera angle issue with a variety of mounts. I don’t believe the Bernina has that fortitude for the long haul. The Statler Stitcher software, compatible with Gammill is the most powerful, amazing and versatile software in the industry. Hoping the Bernina holds up for you. As you can tell, I own a Gammill and have tested many others…Innova, APQS, Bernina, Handiquilter. And I, like you found positives and negatives with each. But I don’t think I’d ever give up my Gammill…life time support and software upgrades, even if not bought new from the manufacturer. Love your work.💖

      I’m glad you love your machine so much! BERNINA sewing machines and company have certainly passed the test of time so I have hope😁

    A few months ago I got a Bernina Q16 sitdown. I love it. But I still see advantages with a long arm of course. Parts of your videos (loading, basting, etc.) don't apply or are different processes for me, but I still find lots to learn and explore, especially with the designs. I'm so glad I found you. Hubby retired and I'm not healthy enough to hold down a job (nothing serious, just annoying) so I agreed to stop purchasing other quilting things (I have enough stash and patterns) in order to pay for the Q16 or I would 100% purchase the course

      I’m glad you’re still finding things to help, or translate into your own projects.

    I just found your channel this morning. You make it look so easy. I just bought a small Juki F300 and a cutie tabletop quilting frame. I haven't gotten everything set up yet and building fabric, supplies and watching alot of TH-cam videos to guide me in beginning my new adventures in quilting. I really like your videos and signed up for notifications. I'm looking forward to learning everything.

    You are very fun to watch! All your quilting is beautiful! I’m somewhat of a novice and bought a Bernina 770QE last spring so I could have more room to quilt my own quilts… but I have a LONG way to go!

    I'm so glad you love your new machine. I tried out a Bernina several years ago and it was really nice. I hope you have many years of enjoyment with one.

    I agree about getting the best possible angle ... wouldn't it be great if they could make a long arm with a camera ?

      They do! But they’re underneath, to see your bobbin thread. Not very helpful for me😂

    Looking to upgrade and didn't consider the Bernina machine but may now. Local dealer has one so I'll be looking. Thank you!

    Hey Susan by watching your great quilting on the q24 I decided to get the q24 versus another brand. It will be delivered in a few weeks. I wanna know where did you get the measuring tape in your dead bar. I looked at the list of the products you use but I didn’t see it. Thx

    I chose Gammill for it's industrial level build but even more important was ease of movement. Tried several and it took two arms to guide. Bam I'll moves with one finger.

    Do you have a ruler foot on your machine or is it the one that came with the machine

    • @StitchedBySusan
      @StitchedBySusan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do have the ruler foot on, yes. I use it like an all-purpose foot and leave it on most of the time.

    People often say “filming” but it’s actually recording.
