Hey man I'm just getting into off shore fishing now that I have access to a boat my question is I have to Old rods and reels that I got back when I was stationed on a ship in the military. They are both p e n n senators 113 and 113h is there a line and Tackle setup that I could use to maximize usage of them. What I mean by that is there a type of line and weight that I can put on them to use them in the kelp beds like you did for the bass as well as for the Yellow Tail and tuna? Either way as someone who is new to this I really appreciate your videos
@@hogsquadfishing awesome thank you so much that was what I was leaning towards after watching your videos but there is so much conflicting information out there
Great video! I've been following you for a couple months and I'm pretty sure I coached you or you where being coached by coach Chelsea in volleyball at HB!! Coach Tyler if you remember me, hit me up if you ever want to fish man, hope all is well!!!
If you only have to pick 5 for the calico, which ones would they be?
5 inch swim bait, A rig, Fluke Texas rig, dark sleeper, and crank bait.
Squad ropes em
Quality video keep the tackle vids coming !!
Ya bro good stuff! Very informative. I pretty much stick to 2 rigs, HUB and a keitech with an underspin. So deadly!
ive been using the US Bait co, i think they last for a few more fish.
22 lbs of drag with the lexa 300 is more than enough for any bass , I have caught 27lbs yellowtail with the lexa 300 no problem at all
Love the video!
Can you explain what you mean by cut the tag end of the hookup baits? Thanks. I fished hookup baits at night but no luck yet.
After you tie the knot cut the tag end as close as possible to knot for the best swim. Good luck hopefully you get some soon.
Great tackle recommendations
Thanks for sharing all those tips man 🤙🏼
Amazing video!!
YEWWWW HOG TIPS 🔥🔥
What is your go to rod for casting big (6-7") swimbaits with ~2oz heads?
Go to rod for the big swim baits is my phoenix m1 inshore as of right now. it's rated for 2- 3oz.

How long of a leader do you use for hookup baits in the bays/harbors?
For double or single
@@hogsquadfishing good question. Both!
i like a 2-3 foot leader so i can re-tie a few times!
Any swim bait color preferences for fishing off jettys?
Black is a good start
Great video. Which of these would you use fishing rocks and eel grass in the surf? I'm tired of losing lures on rock snags. Thx
