I never had a problem with Japanese beetles until last summer, when my neighbors decided they wanted a rose garden. Now these things are causing massive defoliation of all my fire bushes. I don’t ever use pesticides. So I spent time last summer with a bucket of soapy water, knocking them off the leaves down into it. I did that about twice a day. And now this year I’m back out with my soapy bucket again. Hey, it works better than nothing. And those Japanese beetle bag traps just draw more of them to your yard overall.
They were eating my peaches ANDDD my blueberries I got so pissed off cause this year was one of the best years for fruit we have had in 15 years so I took soap water 409 then put it in a bottle and I dampened the trees and my blueberry bush and so far no beetles 🪲 which I’m really happy about since were making pies for my grandmas 100th birthday
I found a bunch when I was tilling for a garden. I just got done putting down some milky spore. I hope I don’t have any issues with them after I start planting
Maybe we can try that! They’re eating up everything, again this summer. So sick of it. Eating the garden, the grapevines and grapes, peach tree, apple tree…even my Boston ferns. 1st year to eat my ferns. Have ate up the crepe myrtle. It’s sickening. Husbands ready to give up gardening altogether. Neem oil was suggested, been using it. Doesn’t seem to phase them. It’s also expensive.
Dominion 2L's product label does include directions to treat ornamental plants, either with a soil application or foliar application. However, please be aware it is also expressly stated that this product is "not for use in commercial greenhouses, nurseries, or on grass grown for seed, or on commercial fruit and nut trees."
My old man used'ta have serious problems with them in the 50s...they et the hell outta his 250 rosebushes in our garden...he used'ta spray every weekend with Malathion...which I think is no longer available...made the beetles D R T...Dead Right There...
Me,I just dunno how to get rid of them without being disgusted (before I put them in a jar with soap water, and I threw up cuz of the smell) and I don’t wanna kill the earthworms in the soil
why would you want to kill such pretty Beetles? They are free to come to my yard and eat all the leaves they want. The more leaves they eat the fewer I have to rake when it comes to fall.
This product won't be an option if you have honey bees, organic fruit trees and a vegetable garden.

Will Milky Spoor get rid of them?

It absolutely decimated my two year old grapes, blueberries, and peaches :(
The new USMC beetle really pushes them back

Same! That’s why I’m here. They started in my roses and hibiscus yesterday!

Malathion is still available I sell at the hardware store
Did you say they are a type of June bug?
They are both in the scarab family... like all beetles... but otherwise unrelated.
I just woke up and one was on my face
Omg
How
The came in from my window I almost cried
@@ellasorigami9306 one of the scariest things ever

Treating your lawn is a waste of time and money. The beetles will come from miles away.

Yeeeees! I love having an invasive species just harboring on my garden.
You're actually an idiot if you have a species called JAPANESE beetles just living an area that isn't Japan
Wow that's stupid lol
