Love all the colour in your yard 💕 Gotta love free plants 👍 My hibiscus was free 😎 Cute little butterflies. Great tour thank you for sharing

Thank you! I’m hoping that hibiscus survives and drops some seeds. It hasn’t bloomed since I made the video 😅 but we’ve got drenched the last 3 days so it’s not baking in the sun anymore for sure. That’s so cool you got an unplanned flowery bush! The butterflies are sneaky! We had a single black butterfly the other day but he zoomed around too much to catch anything of him. Thanks for checking in! Glad you enjoyed all the color! 😊

@@gingerbibliophile think that rain is headed our way, supposed to be a rainy weekend here, of course when I planned to go out and do yard work. Glad my jungle and yard visitors like the jungle look, has been a wild summer for weather. Butterflies are super sneaky, try to get the little skippers and others, ready to click and zoom off they go. Good thing the birds give me a bit more time to get some captures.

@@Cobaltdragon yes! The jungle and all it’s critters 😍😍 the birds definitely work with me more, though Woody and Flit are rare Scaredy cats 😂 the bunnies and squirrels I don’t blame, they can’t fly away from lil man so you just open the curtain or touch the door and they scatter usually 😂

Wow, it’s grown a lot! Love seeing these garden updates. You’ve inspired me to grow more flowers by seed next spring. Nice to see that the critters are enjoying it just as much as you are! 😄

@@gingerbibliophile thanks! I have a Mandevilla that I planted in May that finally bloomed this week! 🌺🤣 I have a black raspberry bush that is totally invading my perennial bed too. Now that the berries are done, I need to cut that sh*t back! 😆

Love it! I’ve tried to grow mandevilla a few times, it’ll be so pretty…til I bring it home and kill it in a week! 😂 the boyfriend keeps trying to off our blackberry bush. I keep telling him to wait til it’s done then cut the stems that fruited. He just hacks at it as soon as it sprouts a bit at the start of spring. I’m amazed it’s managed to do so well. 😅 not that I get any berries from it. The birds go to town before it’s even fully ripened, but they’re cute and it’s not strawberries so they get away with it.
What do you have in your perennial beds? I’d love to see em! I keep planting perennials, but the lime and crepe are the only ones to survive. Apparently lime trees are ridiculously hardy. I’ve yet to have a line actually get full sized, but it flowers like crazy and gets new leaves every year when I bring it back out 😅 the blossoms smell soooo good!

@@gingerbibliophile I lol’d at the boyfriend’s hacking 🤣. I saw a baby squirrel eating the berries this year, it was so cute! I caught it on camera so it will be in a future vlog! For perennials, I just have a small raised bed with bee balm, cone flowers, a peony bush, tulips and daffodils in the spring and hopefully the mums I planted last fall will reemerge. I don’t see signs of them yet so maybe I pulled them out by accident when I was weeding. I also have some hens and chicks succulents that seem to thrive and a purple clematis vine thats already past bloom. I planted a few more cuttings from my mom’s garden this summer but I can’t remember what they were. I’ll try to do a quick garden tour in a vlog in the future although it’s like a wild mess now 😆

@@bookstalgic oh squirrels! I still can’t believe ours chewed through the bird seed container to climb in, or took out a sunflower that want sturdy enough to hold it while he tried to bite off the flower 😂
Sounds like you’ve got quite the gorgeous garden! I’ve been meaning to try to plant a few of those myself. Some I have to avoid in case the pups wanna do their cow impressions on something besides the grass 🙄😂 hopefully the mums come back! Weeds are sneaky! I let em go thinking it’s flowers sprouting just to be tricked and have way more than I will ever be able to rid of by the time they’re along enough to tell what’s what 😂

Living in a dry tropical climate makes gardening a challenge. I love hibiscus but they all get a sort of fungi with me 🙂

It definitely depends on how the weather decides to behave here. It’s been a tough one. Usually I’ve got a couple flowers that just go insane and spread everywhere, but a lot never took off or died this year. The groundhog nibbling and squirrel learning to climb flowers didn’t help, but it certainly cracked me up to see 😂 hope you can find some beautiful flowers that will do well in your area! Thanks for checking in! 😊
