The Curse of Vanishing enchant is actually useful for something like a PvP server, where you wouldn't want the enemy to get you good gear. Instead, just have it vanish on death!

@@thecrowoncampus I guess so. I suppose it's up to the person enchanting his equipment to decide whether or not he wants an enemy faction to have his pickaxe, or any tool for that matter.

2:35 The reason the trident is so slow underwater is because adding Depth Strider to your boots slows down the speed of the trident in water, for some reason.

I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but whenever i speed across the ocean with a trident, i make sure to take my boots off to go faster. That also led to me dying once because I forgot to put them back on and died of fall damage because I didn’t have feather falling
Applying runes to boots with Depth Strider cancels it out too...

I commented on the cobble stairs pickaxe reddit post its math and durability.
Since cobble to stairs ratio is 6:4, 1 stair contains 1.5 cobble. Instead of 3 stone for pickaxe we use 4.5 stone for pickaxe, a 50% increase. Totaling to 150% the normal durability.

Id really love if dylan ever releases their sm64 mod someday. They literally ported the game from the source code into minecraft. Theyre insane!

On the bright side, they could potentially ship the mod without sm64 assets, defaulting to minecraft ones, and potentially with the hability to add custom models and sounds to it so that people could add mario on their own without having them redist the assets themselves.
Afaik the code came from the sm64 decompilation project so they cant be crabbed by nintendo, so theres a chance :D

You can't tell me the last one is cursed, that's just plain cool even if it's a blender animation. But it looks like a full mod. Maybe the Curse of Vanishing enchantment is one of the best pickaxe enchantments is because if we calculate it, the player mines for 468B seconds so if we divided it with 57 notches minus the square root of 292 jebs riding a boat, we get 6709 sus figures, so this means when the player dies, it loses its pickaxe which means it's like my dad who went to buy some milk.

I’ve always thought, why do you need two wooden planks to make sticks when wooden planks are so big and sticks are so small, also the fact they only give you, what is it? 4 sticks? Out of two planks
Boring answer, balance. In-universe answer, Steve's a moron with an axe and can't cut properly and uses up a lot of material when making sticks OR the process of making sticks from planks is so rough that it's difficult to make more out of the big chunky material. That second one could explain why you get sticks from leaves more equally.
The 1 block tall tiny Steve at the end of the video was my Favourite part! 😻
Fun fact: the netherite jukebox thing kinda existed. Mechanical phonographs usually used steel needles (there were other materials like wood, but steel was quite common), which could damage disks, so disks were coated in an abrasive substance so the needle would wear instead of the disk, meaning the needle would need to be replaced regularly...
Except in France. In France, phonographs used "sapphires", which were actually just a glass bead, but that glass bead wouldn't damage the disks and it wouldn't wear off all that much, so a sapphire could be played practically forever. Also French phonographs read the discs from the inside out instead of from the outside in like other phonographs, because why not?
CD's, DVD's and I believe hard drives are still read from the inside out as well.

4 cobblestone stairs is 3 blocks, yet the crafting recipe uses 6. I think it just makes the stairs better quality, so a stair pickaxe would have 10x the durability of a regular one.
