thank you for being so neutral and positive about your weight gain and not fitting into clothes anymore!!! making me feel so seen and okay with my own experience just like this :-)
I know it might sound silly but since the $400 jumpsuit is 1) so beautiful and 2) probably holds sentimental value (I think you wore it when I saw you on tour), maybe that's a "keep for your children/alma to rock one day" kind of piece....
Hi Haley! Stylist here.. don’t underestimate the power of a tailor! The white organza tank you can have them match fabric to add in an extra panel in the back. You should reach out to Paloma PR, I’m sure they would send you a new one. Love your work 💕
My experience with things that don't fit anymore is that I always feel better if I get rid of them except for the 1 in 1000 peices that really are my favorites. In addition to feeling in love with the peice, I also have to have loved wearing them when they did fit and wore them all the time. In those very specific cases I feel regret for years after I get rid of them so I keep the and make my peace with potentially never wearing them again. I also am happy to give those pieces away to friends if I find someone who it's perfect for.
First off, yellow and orange are both beautiful colors on you! And as for paloma - I'd just put her in a box somewhere tucked away that way if you want to revisit she'll be there! 💕 (imagine if you ever had a kid and they got to go through moms old box of clothes and found that gem)
Haley. Please keep the 400 dollar jump suit and the angel top. I recently lost some of the “extra” pounds I gained during the pandemic, and holding onto my favorite clothing pieces then getting to wear them again after losing a couple pounds is really rewarding.
Haley! The blue wrap dress could be transformed by a simple hook and eye clasp to close the chest part. It totally transforms wrap dresses! And putting one on is like a 5 minute job.
God, I love how much personality are in these pieces. That romcom shirt is to die for, and I loved that bright yellow button up on you! You just look amazing in primary colors.
IMO Primary yellow button down is a yes, def your color! Cartoon "Haley Blaiser" and blue blazer both yes Aqua mermaid tank is a no. No on the too-tight jean jumpsuit. Yes to the denim shirt. Surprisingly YES YES YES on the scuba suit. For things that are too small, if they are unique I give myself permission to tuck them away in a shoebox for a year or so. If they still don't fit next time I pull it out they go. Unless they are sentimental! If they're easily replaceable (white tee, slip dress etc) I don't hold on to them and promise myself if I'm ever smaller again I can buy one just like it.
I think keep the gorgeous-but-too-small-right-now maybe clothes somewhere hidden and come back to them when the time comes, as time passes you’ll know if it’s worth keeping or getting rid of
Totally get you!! I'm holding on to jeans after getting a bigger hips/bum from sitting the majority of the pandemic... I'm keeping them but I also bought a comfy new pair that fits! I told myself that I deserve clothes that fit me at all sizes my body fluctuates to, not just my smaller size. edit: pls keep the vintage levis and vintage ralph lauren!!!!!
14:35?!? WHAT?!? THAT DRESS LOOKED AMAZING ON YOU! You had me dead at the way you were just like “no” and moved on though just because I really was not expecting that
I would absolutely recommend letting go of clothes that don't fit, or that you don't reach for (unless a simple visit to the tailor would make them fit again). I let go of 3/4 of my clothes after hanging onto things that didn't fit for years and now I can open my wardrobe and pick whatever I want.
I've been packing away the stuff that doesn't fit or things I can't work out if i want or not where I cannot see it (under the bed, in the loft, shed - wherever) and then re-visiting at another time. I find it easier to re-visit it with fresh eyes as when I decide to clear things out I'm usually in a tizzy!
I love this. Energy, dialogue, jumps, I can feel the decision making in the silence. Everything. Didn’t know I needed yet another closet clean out video ,,,, but yes I did. Also: Keep the jumper Away the angel top Keep the second Jean jumpsuit and away the first one Keep the Levi button down And I’m glad you kept the pink fairy sheer robe 🌸
I've been watching you for sooooo many years. Just finished watching #Brazen in #NetFlix & hearing your voice at the end - what a THRILL. Congratulations, Haley. x
I like the plaid blazer! I like them a little small (as long as the shoulders fit right!). I take rubber bands and wrap them around the sleeves to push the sleeves up so you don't notice they are short....
to fix the neck of the sweater you can buy some clear elastic thread and sew it on the back of the neckline if you feel like the tshirt thing is not working.
You can remove the hook closures from the angel top and replace them with eyelets so it laces up corset style!! I think it’s lovely and it seems like you really enjoy it
clothes should fit you, not the other way around! just remember that if you ever feel sad. this is coming from someone who also got a Soda Stream in August 2021 and has reached enlightenment
Haley if I was in Vancouver I would 100% buy that fall sweater, I've coveted it for literally years 🥲 Also 100% agree with the comments saying to keep the jumpsuit, it holds so many memories, and it might fit you again or you can pass it on one day - definitely seems like one you would regret letting go of!
opinion on prettiest ever pink slip robe: “when would I wear it” items are just opportunities to add to usual outfits as unexpected layers!! Why wait to wear it? Pair with a layered skirt over jeans n a graphic t, under a coat! We’re here to play!!!
as someone who has gained weight and whose body shape has changed don't keep stuff that doesn't fit with the intention of losing weight to fit into it again -- you'll feel so much better just wearing stuff that fits right! also I have found that keeping stuff that doesn't fit just makes you feel worse about a changing body. having said that, the pieces you had an emotional attachment to you should keep, at least for now (and reconsider later) because you'll probably regret gettin rid of them
I would keep things that have sentimental value to them, but if something just doesn't fit and you aren't attached to it, I would get rid of it. Sort of like Marie Kondo's "Spark Joy" method. As someone with a similar chest situation lol I get rid of things that don't fit and then make a note that the cut / style isn't flattering. There's no reason to keep it if it's just going to make me feel insecure and such.
I'm in Vancouver and would love to buy that dress at 4:36! Also the Paloma wool jumpsuit suits you so well, I feel ya. I have a bag in the bottom of my closet of clothes I love but don't fit me anymore/I'm too scared to get rid of.
My favourite part about watching these try on videos is screaming ‘YEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSS that looks so good’ at my tv when you put on every piece of clothing
after watching you for years and years I finally figured that you have such an Amanda Bynes vibe, like circa early 2000s (a big compliment, hope you like it )
that romcom shirt is everything!! Also does anyone know what the thrift store with the magical witch is called?? I just moved back to Van and am looking for more locally owned thrift places to visit :)
Hi. Totally new here but just wanted to say that as a person who fluctuates in weight a lot I always regret passing on something that I really loved but didn’t fit in anymore. Cause it’s natural to change size in life in different ways.
Omg I love you. You might maybe nudge me into sorting my closet too (all vintage). So many memories, so much cool stuff. I don't have the energy for depop either, I always hope I will.
omg it's fruit of the loom cotton bras truly the only ones I wear. I THRIFTED a new unopened pack and then just had to buy some more..... it's....so good
Thank you for this thrifted/ vintage goodness. I moved to Vietnam 3 years ago and the thrift stores here are just not the same. Got thay thrift high from seeing some of your gems. Thanks for the sick vid.
I absolutely loved watching this video - it was like watching all your videos for the first time again. All the eras of Haley Blais! I just cleaned out my closet and it was the exact same experience - down to the overalls that were once too big now fit really nice. I allowed myself to keep the beautiful and rare pieces but also parted with a lot of the ones that made me sad to look at - that made me feel bad.... CLOTHES ARE SUPPOSED TO FIT YOU! not the other way around. That being said, the blue mermaid top has got to go... it gives you an evil villain complex. (and if you're selling the petite blazer... send it my way
my philosophy when buying or keeping clothes is that if it doesn’t fit me right now, then it doesn’t need to be in my closet right now (but i do have like 5 pieces of sentimental clothing lol)
I say keep the jumpsuits, they’re super cute and they’re ~iconic Haley Blais~ looks imo! UNLESS…..if they start making you feel truly sad, then you can kick them to the curb, or at least pack em away for a while.
I’m team don’t hold onto things that don’t fit you anymore and start fresh. I got rid of 2/3 of my clothes and it felt amazing because 1) everything I have in my closet are things I would wear and 2) everything I have are I CAN wear (aka they fit). Good feeling plus I feel like I have the space for new and I hold new clothes to a higher standard since I already have a collection that works so well for -me-
thank you for being so neutral and positive about your weight gain and not fitting into clothes anymore!!! making me feel so seen and okay with my own experience just like this :-)

Agree!
was just gonna say this! pass it on to future fashionistas
Hi Haley! Stylist here.. don’t underestimate the power of a tailor! The white organza tank you can have them match fabric to add in an extra panel in the back. You should reach out to Paloma PR, I’m sure they would send you a new one. Love your work 💕
Keep things that have monumental feelings or have worn for monumentous occasions. That white top you performed in is 10/10.
My experience with things that don't fit anymore is that I always feel better if I get rid of them except for the 1 in 1000 peices that really are my favorites. you're so right
I feel like the orange jumpsuit is future family heirloom worthy. Definitely keep!
Haley! The blue wrap dress could be transformed by a simple hook and eye clasp to close the chest part. It totally transforms wrap dresses! And putting one on is like a 5 minute job.
Paloma Wool jumpsuit, Orchid top, Charlie's Angel denim jumpsuit, and scuba fit are EVERYTHING. keep lookin hot in em girly!!
God, I love how much personality are in these pieces. That romcom shirt is to die for, and I loved that bright yellow button up on you! You just look amazing in primary colors.
That jumpsuit was truly a moment in all of our lives, thank you

The brown shirt right after the orange blazer is YOUR COLOR. 🤎
One billion percent behind keeping the Paloma jumpsuit & the 70s jumpsuit they look incredible on you !!!! 🧨💥

I just had a similar experience!! I got so excited :) congrats haleyy
Scuba Steve jumpsuit is a keeper
Oh man the witchy wizard top is SO up my alley I love it
OMG the jumpsuit zipping open made me laugh out loud...like for real....HAHAHAH

Love the blue blazer. Might look cute over the red scuba suit. Also love all of the gauzy wispy tops on you- cute with jeans
clothes should fit you, not the other way around! just remember that if you ever feel sad. this is coming from someone who also got a Soda Stream in August 2021 and has reached enlightenment
That white flowy orchid/angel top... I can't tell what the closures are in front, but could you lace it up? And then wear it over top of something?
Also I really thought every blazer was very flattering on you -- even the "too small" ones. I say if they're comfortable to wear, keep!
The red blazer looks amazing on you and keep the overall

Your edits kill me. I love you
baby if it doesnt fit, let it go! Start fresh and new and it will make you so much happier! more space for new
the orange button up is great
AHHH the jumpsuit! You wore it to your NYC show! Keep it forever
