Trying suspenders for the first time in a VERY LONG time. Since I was a kid, so I knew to do some research beforehand. Very commonsense and useful video. Will look for your products online. Good stuff.
I really appreciate the lesson on sizing suspenders. Since I am buying them online I need to know how to measure for them as closely as possible. Thank you.
Thank you very much for this video! I'm wondering, does the method of measuring / sizing change depending on the style of suspender attachment used? The clips on my clip on suspenders add about 1/2 inch to the length (both front and back) and now that I've picked up a pair of button on suspenders I'm noticing that they add almost 3 inches to the length (again, both front and back). Essentially, clips vs. button on makes a difference of 5 inches in overall length. When I put a tape measure over my shoulder and measure front to back I'm thinking that this should give me the minimum length that I would want the straps + attachments to be. Do I have this wrong? I'm finding size selection to be more difficult than expected and hopefully I'm just over complicating things.
Thank you for the tutorial. I’ve been wearing button suspenders on and off for 40 years mainly as a homage to the 1930s-1940s fashions. I notice your suspenders tabs are near your waistline but I prefer the tabs to be around the middle of my chest. I have a longer torso with shorter legs so at being ‘5,5 leaves me in between small and medium, but I need to know where the tabs will fall after proper adjustments
Hi Mike, Thanks for the message. Where the adjusters end up on your torso will of course vary from person to person. Yes, many people do like them higher. You can probably get them where you want them (on your chest) by getting a 48 inch suspender (or 46) rather than a 42 inch. It depends on your weight and build, but I'm thinking you should try that. Hope that helps!
Hi Dave, Excellent presentation. (Didn't care for the music.) I have a couple of questions for you. I am short and fat: 5' 5", 245 lbs. My X measurement is 42", my Y is 41" (I just subtracted an inch.) It seems to me that by wearing a suspender that is too wide or too narrow it would only bring attention to my width: 2 in. too wide, 1 in. too narrow. Do you have an opinion on suspender width for the wide? Also, I think the Y suspender is more flattering from the back than the X model for someone my size, although I think the X is more functional and comfortable. Any thoughts? Many thanks.
Hi Jeffrey. The Adjuster usually should be between your navel and your breast. There is nothing wrong with it being lower than your navel, or up higher than your great, but when it gets up around your shoulder it just looks a little odd. At that point you might want to try the new smaller size.
Thanks for the video you've just saved me money 💷 for not buying the wrong sized collectors military ⚔ braces, as most of the sizes produced then where not above 100cm 39" ☺️👍
@@catsailor83 don't know if I measured myself properly but it said 57 on thr measure tape. It's going to be my first suspenders as well. Would you happened to have a link? I was planning to pair with some ripstop cargo pants.
Hi! We try to include in the product description on every page the width of the suspenders. We also try to have pictures of people wearing the suspenders (and/or a video) on many of the pages. If you have questions, please call us at 410-987-4212 and we can direct you to pictures of each width. Here is a link to our section all about widths: www.suspenderstore.com/suspender-style-guide-choosing-the-right-width-suspender/
Well done! This is the example others should emulate when doing this kind of videos. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

You are very welcome!
Great video, so helpful to know how to measure. I am a multi return customer to 'the suspender'' store, and love how they fit and wear.
So helpful and thorough. Perfect!
Thank you!

Dave, enjoyed the video except the soundtrack.

Looking for two pair of pin clip suspenders, 1.25 wide, one black, the other a bright red. can you do it?
I'm 5' 11" about 180 pounds and I have 48 inch suspenders but they will slip off my shoulders. Do they make an attachment to tie them together?
where should the adjuster clip sit? recently bought suspenders and when adjusted the clips sit about just below the shoulder

How about if the size start with 3002 ,3003 some like that

What can be done about a slipping adjuster on a new pair of suspenders. It's always the same one that slips.
Hi! Sounds like a defective adjuster. If you bought them from us, please call us at 800-393-4508 and we can help you.
How should I measure for side clip trucker's suspenders?
Hi! You measure for side clips the same way as for regular suspenders.
Great information now to visit your site thank you
Thank you so much
What suspender would be recommended for a 300lb 5'7 for work?
Hi! Without measuring you I would start with a 54 inch Logger Pin Clip suspender.

Where shall we get suspender inchenni
👍 You know your job well.
Is back pain supposed to occur with wearing suspenders?
No, we have never heard of that. Some people say that suspenders actually help their posture.
You do not answer your emails ?

Thanks so much.
