Great video as always. Please consider going over the Hideway Hut food options in more depth. I am trying to get a better understanding of what is provided there but not at other places at CocoCay.
I'm seeing the same price on Icon. At $30 it's an easy choice if you don't have kids. At $80 it requires a bit more thought. Still better than $250 for CoCo Beach Club though I guess.
Were going here next week. Were on a b2b on the wonder and we booked hideaway beach on both cruises. It was twice the price on the second sailing but I'm guessing because our 2nd sailing falls on valentine's day. Was $36 on the first leg and $74 on the second leg.
Thanks for the Hideaway Beach tour! We're booked for Utopia of the Seas and have been watching the app to book our Hideaway spot the day it becomes available. Might be a bit since our cruise is about a year away. Lol.
So...been wanting to ask this. The DJ is mentioned a lot in all the marketing and stuff for the Hideaway. There was a DJ in the big pool on the free side last time I was there. did they get rid of the DJ there to encourage people to pay for Hideaway or is there still music there in the big free pool?
Great video! Much anticipated. As someone mentione before a little more info about Hideaway Hut (or maybe just a few pictures of new food options) would be great. But love your videos. Always look gor this channel for info on RCL whatever.
Nice! We booked our passes for it. Just a shame our son is a just under age for it, but I think he'll like some time away from mom and dad on the other beaches too.
Our Coco Cay stop was cancelled in January 2023 due to weather. I'm looking forward to it this cruise on ICON in March. We've booked Hideaway Beach. Woo-hoo!!
Going to try it in October of 2024. Checked the price today and it was $50. I guess I will keep checking as I see people say they have reserved it for $30 and $44? My husband really wants to try it out. Also want to stay away from the loud pool music. I have a slight hearing problem and believe it or not I have a problem with loud music. My audiologist explained to my husband that it is a real thing for some people with a hearing problem. Love Coco Cay!!!! Usually spend time at South Beach.
Great video… can you get away from the party vibe?? We’re seniors and not sure if this is for us. We’ve been hearing that they’ve pulled the DJ at Oasis Lagoon and it’s quiet and not as crowded as it used to be. What do you think?
Went there for the first time last week and we were spoiled especially when we got on sale for $18.99. Don’t be concerned about it being too much a party seen. If you hand it on beach you’ll be away from the party but the pool has the party vibe but it was not too outrageous and enjoyed it as well. My wife loved the coconut shrimp. Two thumbs up from me.
We are just 9 days away from getting to experience Hideaway Beach on our Allure of the Seas cruise! This is a great overview video. I'm thrilled that we got our passes for $37 each so that is a great price point. Somehow, I doubt that low price point will stay that way if this location stays popular. Better to get to experience it now! I have a feeling in the very near future this will be a $99 a person venue. Very excited to see they serve Sands Bahamian lager!!!
Will be there in March on odyssey of the seas. We paid $41 PP for hideaway beach. It looks well worth it. We’ve never been to coco cay before so this is getting exciting!
@@andreaharris4683 It was an absolute blast! We ended up canceling and rebooking because the price dropped to $31 PP. If you can get it at that price i recommend it
Wife and I will be there in early February '25 and just saw the price dropped to $49 per person, was $59 the other day. Think we may just give this a try. Looks very appealing.
I will definitely be going to the adults only area on my Icon of the seas cruise. Cruise is not until April 2025 but enjoying hearing about all I have to look forward to
So what is the weather like at the beginning of June? We are heading out June 8, 2025. I have been on several cruises but my friend has never been on one. I am thinking light pants or shorts. Light sweater or long sleeve at night. And or sweater in the main dinning area it might be a little cool.
Hideaway is already $80 on my sailing. Eighty dollars! It's honestly egregious and I'm still annoyed this isn't an included area. I know it's trite to complain about Royal charging for things or raising prices, but the only reason they do is because people PAY IT. Y'all, if you want the prices to go down, you've GOT to stop paying for these things for a while. I am not willing to pay $80 or even $50 to go in the area. I would probably pay $30-35, but I still wouldn't be happy about it. Only plus is hopefully those who do pay will stay there and free up the rest of the island to be less crowded. Obviously, Matt, love the video and it's wonderfully shot and narrated. No hate on you :)
Wow that stinks cause I want to go ! 80 is like twice as much as I want to pay ..: thanks for the update others have said 30 and that seems way more reasonable … glenda
It really needs to be standard and not an extra price ..: I get that they don’t want everyone to come cause it doesn’t have room but surge pricing is not nice when we have to already pay ..: make it fair RC
I have it booked for our Utopia cruise in December, but booked for less than $50 early on when I first booked the Utopia, on the first day it became available. Early is key.... I also have a day bed for our Icon sailing in March and paid $200, and it is now $400.
Very nice but it has 1 serious let down. It doesn't have the main food station from the free part of cococay. So no taco station rice beans chicken carnitas street corn Philly cheese steaks or Cuban sandwiches. You have to take a tram back to the entrance to get that. Don't know how they missed that
No it takes you about 2 miles in then from there they offer you roller skates to skate over to the gate or you can rent a skateboard if you know how to. Just kidding...yes they drop you off right in front.
The swim up area was very busy. We did not arrive early, so no chairs were available around the pool. We ended up sitting down by the actual beach. There was a waitress that did a great job of keeping us hydrated. We were close enough to still hear the music, so that was a plus. The food was good, taking advantage of the chicken Parmesan sandwich, that’s not on the menu. I don’t know if the area is worth the hype, but it was nice having an adult only area .
If it's another party place to add to Oasis Lagoon and South Beach, it looks like there's too many people in there to warrant a fee. Is it for the extra free food choices?
What's interesting about Coco Cay is that half the island is not accessible to passengers. This is only obvious when viewed from the ship, but there are quite a few huge buildings in this administrative half of the island, which I assume are warehouses and maintenance buildings.
I was there in mid Feb. There are some things no one talks about, until you experience it first hand. - There are no peaceful quiet spots. You cannot get away from the DJ music. There are speakers hidden everywhere pumping the music out, and not just by the pool. It was ok while at the pool and swim up bar, but I also wanted to relax on my chair by the beach with my own music. No noise canceling ear earphones can overcome that constant background thump thump thump of the DJ tunes. After a short time, I was ready to leave hideaway for the ship or find a quieter place on the island. - It's an over 40 crowd. There's no children allowed. So there's almost nobody there under the age of 40. The 18-25 single and childless probably have different priorities and are spending their time and money elsewhere. Those between 25 and 40 probably have kids with them, and will be elsewhere on the island with their family.
I just made my first trip to Hideaway Beach and it was a disaster. There’s almost no seating by the pool with the swim up bar so nowhere you can put your things. All the seating at hideaway hut is on sand which is not comfortable to eat. Food was fine but as a walk up counter there’s no way to carry everything you get unlike the buffets with plates. Also the wind was extremely bad and they told everyone to go back to the ship about an hour after I got on the island.
is there any place around the pool that isn't blasted by the dj? Would behind him be a little quieter, or on the far side of the pool? We don't mind music in the background, but if it's anything like Odyssey's pool music, we couldnt even talk to each other in the next chair without shouting

The only real difference I've seen is the fish sandwich offering, coconut shrimp and ceviche. I'll be going in December!
The swim up bar sounds like the best place to just chill and be with new people 😌

$30. is a great price for hideaway beach. Wasn’t sure if Hardaway Beach was part of Coco Cay for free?
We have hideaway beach booked in March while on the Oasis for $36 per person. Where we'll hang out depends in how loud the music is.
