Forestella's a Vocal Group and their genre is CROSSOVER. They definitely belong to the best that the music industry currently has to offer. They mix mainly rock/pop with classic vocals and very sophisticated classically techniques. They are 2 masters of vocal music, 1 musical actor, 1 rock vocalist with angelic soprano voice (and self-taught until the group was founded). Forestella is very versatile, creative, ambitious and not necessarily always mainstream. They just do their thing and always with a TOP result. You shouldn't keep missing these guys.

FORESTELLA's version of "Scarborough Fair" is very classical, so their ranges and skills come into their own. Their voices are very flexible and their vocal skills just incredible. So they are able to offer top performance in EVERY GENRE. And that's what they do. I definitely recommend their versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Lazenka Save Us (EPIC! Rock/Metal) or Inner Universe (from Gost of the Shell) and LEGENDS NEVER DIE (from League of Legends). EACH of these performances will literally blow you away. Likewise their OWN MASTERPIECES “Save our Lives” and “Utopia” (partI and II of a trilogy) and “White Night” (simply magical). This is from old English folk song. Simon & Garfunkel version is the most famous as far I know. There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, and rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him anymore. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in the same areas in fact while on my researching English references.. so it could be just for remembering the recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too.
Forestella has such passion in their original music that they have produced in the past year. The highest voice also is a rock singer who writes and often directs the production ideas of their original songs too. Forestella is lightning in a bottle. They were formed though an elimination survival competition show called Phantom Singer. The goal of the show was to create a crossover group like Il Divo. The Mastermind is Cho Mingyu. (Second from the right) he played the game hard, kept winning and was able to piece together this unique team. Two classically trained opera vocalists (Mingyu himself and the Bass), one musical theater guy (the Baritenor), and one garage band rocker with zero formal training and a killer falsetto. They all have very unique sounds, but you put them together and they blend seamlessly. Ko Woo Rim, the bass, reported to his national duty of service to the Army, in Dec. 2023, and will be there for two years. All the others have already completed their tour of duty. Mr Ko was a national ice skater ( his wife is an Olympic Champion ice skater) and during his younger years was competitively active. They all competed in a competition type show and somehow came together, thank God, and won. They are fantastic and are still performing "the show must go on". Love them.
Before anything....you have to listen to Bohamian Raphsody performed, not covered by them. One you listen you will know what I meant by performed..not covered.

The highest voice also is a rock singer who writes and often directs the production ideas of their original songs too. Forestella is lightning in a bottle. They were formed though an elimination survival competition show called Phantom Singer. The goal of the show was to create a crossover group like Il Divo.
The Mastermind is Cho Mingyu. (Second from the right) he played the game hard, kept winning and was able to piece together this unique team. Two classically trained opera vocalists (Mingyu himself and the Bass), one musical theater guy (the Baritenor), and one garage band rocker with zero formal training and a killer falsetto. They all have very unique sounds, but you put them together and they blend seamlessly.

Ko Woo Rim, the bass, reported to his national duty of service to the Army, in Dec. 2023, and will be there for two years. All the others have already completed their tour of duty. Mr Ko was a national ice skater ( his wife is an Olympic Champion ice skater) and during his younger years was competitively active. They all competed in a competition type show and somehow came together, thank God, and won. They are fantastic and are still performing "the show must go on". Love them.
Before anything....you have to listen to Bohamian Raphsody performed, not covered by them. One you listen you will know what I meant by performed..not covered.
