I grew up on Charlie Prides music in the 60's and 70's. That man was a hell of an entertainer. I got to see him in person at one of our local county fairs. It was awesome!! It's sad that covid took him. May Charlie rest in peace.
Great singer my Dad loved his songs and every time I hear his songs it makes me think of my Dad and my Dad passed away back in 1994 and my favorite song of his is Burgers and fries fries.😊😊😊
Sorry for your loss .my grandfather was a musician and I used to drive him around and listen to classic country. He died inn1992.ive thought of my grandparents recently too. You will see him again.i know this. Girls are so special to thier Daddy's. He loved you More than ANYTHING. I promise.
I love how low he drops his voice. He sings along as a warm baritone and sometimes picking into the tenor range, and suddenly he’s coming in from the basement! He had such a great singing range, and he knew how to use it!
Didn't know Ray could play the piano. Old school artists had mega talent compared to today was watching an interview with Levon Helm dude could play a ton of instruments. Music runs in the blood. World class artists even this dude playing the guitar, you can hear the way he plays great feel. Charlie sounds good here for his age can't believe hes gone. Always had such a great country voice. Love this song❤
Haven't heard this in along time had to see a picture on an album to believe he was black he's one of my favorite country singers rest in peace we miss you
There haven’t been many black country singers over the years, but this guy really made a mark in Nashville. He truly opened the door and let everyone know that ethnicity didn’t have to dictate where your music took you.
Rest in Peace Charlie Pride.. I heard all your songs my mother would play your albums. (my dad had bought her Stereo console she bought all her favorites country artists .Willie Waylon The Highway men etc❤
Makes me sad! One of the best country singers to exist! So very missed 😢

If I ever get the chance to visit USA one day, the first place I'd love to visit is Mississippi and see that great Mississippi River...
