- The Fortschritt E514 is a rare machine in the Netherlands. It was imported by Cebeco and this E514 was sold new to a contractor in this country and is still working on an arable farm in the North of the country. It was build in 1986.
The E514 was launched by the state-owned company VEB Kombinat Fortschritt in 1982 to replace the highly successful E512. A total of 12.028 examples were build between 1982 and 1989. The E514 had a completely redesigned cab with air cooling and heating, hydraulic controls, an overhauled grain tank, new controls and more features. The threshing system remained the same as before. It has 4 straw walkers and a single threshing drum. It was build in the Fortschritt plant in Singwitz.
The machine is powered by a 115 PS VEB IFA Nordhausen 4 cylinder diesel engine which drives the 160x60cm drum with 8 beaters. It has a 3.600L grain tank and header widths of 3.6, 4.2, 4.8 and 5.4m were available. This machine has the 4.2m example. The E514 was later replaced by the all new E524.
