I have a massive amount of respect for that young man who has been taking care of his mom since he was very young. I think he did an amazing job and it is only logic that he could not do the housechores on top of growing up and caring for his mom. He is going to be an amazing dad and partner. Hats of!
Clearly the mom raised him to be kind and thoughtful, mindful of peoples illnesses and issues. It’s really a testimony to what good parents he must have. It’s sad his mother got so ill that he nor her could focus on cleaning the place. He is really refreshing to hear.. the way he talks about his mom even though they’ve both been dealt a shaky hand
That's a joke, this young guy has the capacity to throw out trash and take his mum to the toilet all within 24 hour, he will be a useless dad and invisible partner.
They’re all so patient with their clients. I’d get so frustrated! but their way is right… look how happy the old guy was even with being able to walk around his possessions, plus he was motivated to keep at it!
Ladies have a rule. If the householder doesn't vacate for a few days, don't take the job on. Ones like John won't part with anything. Make them sign something to say they give permission for things to be tossed otherwise they are a darn liability.
To actually be "GOOD" at this job I believe is only possible if you tackle it with full empathy. You have to know the heart of your clients and their difficulties and have a wish to help. And gain money, of course, lol.
I wish the American Hoarder show was this way. I hate how dramatic it is 😂 this show is refreshing. ♥️ this one and the other cleaning one, where the two ladies go about doing bacteria tests and showing what the bacteria can do to you.
The big difference is that in these brittisch shows, the clients ask for the help themselves because they know it's bad. On the American shows, it's usually because they are forced to do something to avoid heavy fines or condemned properties. Those people don't see the problem and basically aren't ready. But, I have to admit that in many of these British cases, one has to wonder where people will be in 5 years or so. If they don't get help with the mental side of the issue, they don't change.
I think the AMERICAN show turns the hoarders into enemy scapegoats and dramatic psychologists. The American show is often cruel and the British show is not.
I love this mother and daughter team!! Mom is exactly like me loud and laugh! Daughter is like my girls just looks at it and hardly say a word!! I love all of the people cleaning out the homes of people helping others❤ God love them ❣️🙏🏻🦋
I've now watch all 8 episodes on this playlist. The cleaners chosen for the program are gold. Respectful, caring, kind. I would be so privileged if any of them were my friend offline. Their communities are better for having them live there. Love. Love. Love.
Some of these dear hoarders need psychiatric help before cleaners go in , often its many years of learned behaviour. Such patience from the extreme cleaners.
She has so much love pouring out of her, but I wouldn't be able to stand to be around her for more than an hour. She can respond quite 'over the top' in my opinion. It's how she is and it's not fake, but it drives me bonkers. Her outbursts of excitement and surprise..😅
Maxine is such a lovely caring woman who I believe is so genuine in her love to help others .. what a beautiful thing to see her daughter Jasmine feel the same way…. I love these two how they use humor as a way to cope … may God bless them ❤️🙏
Bless these entire families and the cleaners, what sweet souls 💖 Keep up the amazing work, caring for a family member is thankless work but so important 💖 y’all are Angels on earth for real 💖
I remember when I was a kid growing up in south Florida I was best friends with two sisters. My mother wouldn't let us hang out at my house because we might make a mess. We hung out at my friend's house instead. Their house wasn't the tidiest house around either but it never bothered me. At least we could actually hang out there and have fun. My friend's mom worked as a nurse during the day and their dad worked at night somewhere. How we managed not to wake him I'll never know. I actually hated living at home because my mom was such a clean freak. She would never allow me and my siblings to clean our own rooms and we weren't allowed to wash dishes. My mother would tell us that we wouldn't do a good job and she would rather do things herself. I thought it was pretty stupid on her part because she had four kids and we could have been doing the cleaning and laundry.
Hoarding is so difficult for everyone involved. I have a few friends who are hoarders. I have almost no possessions and they are really bewildered about the way I live. We do not judge each other, we just accept and love each other anyway.
I live alone with my two dogs but never buy anything in bulk not even toilet paper. I feel that it isn't necessary to buy more than one or two weeks worth of necessities. The store isn't that far from me.
Stocking up is fine having more then one is fine "two is one one is none" but this isn't it. I'm a prepper and my home doesn't look anything like this😮
I am a bit confused here, When was this video made? It is now 2023 so a 66-year-old was not raised in Post war Britain under rationing. I was born near the end if the war so remember rationing. If the film was made this year he was born in 1957!

I absolutely loved this episode! One step at a time and things will get better.
Maxine is so funny. Always talking about food .... she's a bundle of Joy ❤

That man needs help beyond cleaning.
These cleaners are amazing what a wonderful job they do the clients are so greatful love these shows kym
19:24 as one who struggles with hoarding, yes. It is so helpful to help us see what it could look like and help us to get some stuff done.
I never tire listening to Maxine’s laugh 💕

It’s so hard to go to my grandma and moms house because they hoard everything. It absolutely is hard for EVERYONE involved.
They need help for sure like mental help and someone to show them how to keep a clean house .
Does this show every do update episodes? That would be awesome, if they did.

You really do amazing cleaning and your so kind ❤
I love Maxine she is so beautiful and caring.
So happy for the clients esp the mum

Nice work !
Unfortunately John needs intensive therapy to let more "stuff" gone. Lots of stuff needs to be donated. I hope he let's stuff go!
I understand him. Bless you.
The first situation wasn't quite bad, especially the load they had to carry out. I live in America.
Jasmine and Maxine are such lovely women doing a very tough job ...
Im disabled and I've been married 18 years. We have no kids because I never wanted to turn a kid into my care giver.
Just too lazy to put rubbish in the rubbish and wash dishes clean toilet and bathroom yet they can do alot of other things..... LAZY!!!
COOL THANKS 👍👍👍💯👏👏👏
Cleanliness is an attitude.
Poor guy. It is a huge place
I'm a home health aide and I refuse to go in houses like that
"this how we feel today👺👹" LOL
I am happy for John 🥹
17:02 progress
Things, stuff, more things.
❤ Angels ❤
Maxine and her daughter are gems
That man didn't want help
I wish this video had shown more of Jasmine and her mom cleaning the lady's flat and not emphasized John's flat so much.
Get her out of the mold and her symptoms may start going away.
He lives there and doesn't clean? 😕
Just nasty.
Marina and here thogther wunderful peaoel❤❤
❤😊

it's probably a few years to a decade old since I remember watching some of these episodes on TV.
Closing credits say 2017.
Rationing in the UK went on for about 8 years after the war ended.
