  • The EU’s PEF methodology is earmarked to be the basis for retailers to use as their textile footprint measuring instrument. Yet the methodology leaves out crucial impact categories that downplay many benefits that natural fibres bring to the table.
In this presentation to the IWTO Wool Round Table, Emma Gittoes, Campaign Manager for Make The Label Count, makes the case for tackling textile pollution at its origin, and what the implications are for the methods that are currently in use by the PEF.
Here you can learn about green labelling and its challenges, and the goals of the Make The Label Count coaliton of organsiations, which is working towards making green claims fair and credible.
