Loved this breakdown and all the work that goes into all of your breakdowns, and Stahl is my favorite character. I'm obsessed with Bow Knight!Stahl though I have not met a single other serious player who agrees with me -- including this video for the most part lol, though it does so in a very fair and balanced way. Bow Knight is one of those "jack of all trades, master of none" classes that get a bad rap, but I was blown away by just how deadly Stahl became with a combination of Astra or Luna, Pass, a cavalier's speed and map reach, and Swordfaire and Bowfaire. He outruns absolutely everything on the board. The best part is that if you run him through the Dread Fighter class, you get that amazing passive Resilience +10 which officially patches the worst of his weaknesses. Even just sticking with the base game though, I really loved him in that class.
Most of his class options are similar to Sully's, who I already covered. And his one unique set, Archer, isn't all that great (except Bow Knight) so... not really all that much to talk about.
Yeah, wish the Snipers had something going for them in this game. (At least give them deadeye as a possible skill option. At least it makes enemies go to sleep, which is better than that pointless +20 hit bonus).
Honestly Deadeye was also kind of useless most of the time. PoR version: Doubles accuracy (pointless) always, really low chance of Sleep. RD version: You rarely see the Sleep effect because the enemy usually dies to the 3x damage before it gets a chance to work. Sniper does have better caps overall compared to Bow Knight. So it's basically trading versatitily for raw stats. I mainly said Stahl is good as a Bow Knight though because he has access to both Bowfaire and Swordfaire, meaning both weapons of that class get a +5 str boost.
+BigKlingy though that leads to the question: why keep him as a bow knight when assassin has the same weapon types and is generally superior? Assassin has a skill and speed cap 5 higher than bowknight with 4 less defense and 5 less res and all the other caps are the same. the only time bowknight is preferable is lunatic+ where enemies can have hawkeye
Sam Riegel has one role that you probably wouldn't be able to recognize him in: Starscream in the War for Cybertron/Fall for Cybertron games. I was shocked when I found out-- it sounds nothing like him.
+MongoIndyleo I honestly bench stahl immediately over sully, she gets a kid, has great speed (a really important stat) and wyvern rider class line is amazing in this game, and archers have never been particularity amazing unless your name is shinnon
BigKlingy it only took ten games....than 4 more after to remember "shit those guys can be good to right". to be clear i dont hate archers, i'm more than willing to defend them, but they have way too many obvious flaws. that and the first archer usually gets way too jipped with starting stats. i'm mean theres always the chance their growths nullify it (hell i had that happen with wolt in a current playthrough and he's actually in the top 5 for best units....yes that wolt) but anything rng reliant is too unreliable for me
I think stahl is my spirit animal because i have the tendency to eat alot and i also can be lazy sometimes and is rather friendly and calm alot of the time oh and also during my first awakening playthrough i made stahl a paladin and i also a ranked him with my male avatar and we were a powerful tag team together he was also my 3rd best character 2nd only to ricken

I always love using Stahl over Sully. His speed is pretty decent and his strength and defense are amazing. What other stats do you need, honestly?
