Haha I also work for Timpson and do the same repairs as in the video been doing for many many years and love it. The Timpson family are the nicest people I know… keep up the great work
Another restoration that just shows if you thought your shoes were beyond repair, you thought wrong! Loved the shoes before and after at the end and the view of one finished next to one still be done, stunning! Keep up the great work dude!
Look at those finished shoes.....chalk and cheese bud. Excellent job. I’d think they were fit for the bin, you brought them back from the brink. Shine on
Great Work 1st. Step -> Shoe Tree ALWAYS 2nd. Step -> Water them down to take away the wrinkles, spray well & wipe down. Let Completely Dry... Note* Then exactly what you did, the only small drawback at the beginning will be waiting for the shoes to dry! Above all I've Subscribed to your Channel! 👍🏻🤗 👞👞 🥾🥾
Your work looks good, but maybe you could explain why you use particular products and methods. Are products only available in your area? Are wood shanks the preferred material where you are, or are steel shanks not available? These are just a few questions people might like answered.
Hey up young un 👍 Good job on t’Locke’s Just bought a pair o 1880’s Tan brogue Not warn them in anger yet Do you recommend I use the cobblers cream on them first & then neutral polish or spray Gone for Rubber welted this time as I kick the fronts of leathers lately My age & knees I’m sure Keep these videos coming lad I’m enjoying watching your skills 👍👍
Love all your videos. You are a true craftsman! Noticed that the soles were timpson and the heels JR leather. Is that something the customer requested? Keep up the good work.
Honest answer please. This can be for any cobbler. Is it that other shops cant fix "it", or do a lot of cobblers just not want to be bothered with detail work?
Try saphir shoe cream, far superior than Timpsons , nice job though 😂 but then I think from what I saw a glimpse off you are a Timpsons shoes repairer .
@@CobblerG Using Renovateur is far more important than using mirror gloss! If you can't afford Saphir creams, use BdeC. The wax you use doesn't matter if the shoes aren't properly conditioned!
I noticed you clean and prep the leather part first before resole, is it a preference or a technical choice? (I know nothing about cobbler just going down a rabbit hole of binge watching shoe restoration vids lol)
I miss working here 😪 be your own boss, adm's were great 👍 , advance when you in need 💰 , and I loved repairing shoes and watches ⌚ smash a full pair of leathers same day 👞
New Subscriber and I must commend you Sir on your Work.😮Simply Superb what you can do to a Decent pair of Shoes that looked at least to me to be ready for Tuesdays Recycle Bin collection. An Artist at work and So enjoyable to watch.👏👏👏👏👍👞 I Personally wear Oliver Sweeney Square Toe Chelsea Shoes having wide feet and trying to get or even find a decent Cobbler up here in Hebburn to Work on them is a Nightmare. I do wish you were close to me as I’ve about 7 pairs that would definitely keep you busy😜 I’ve considered returning them to Oliver Sweeneys Resole Service but £130 is not cheap considering I can pick a pair the same up on Fleabay for around £30 with decent soles and heels. I must ask if it’s ok but I have a yellow Tan coloured pair I would prefer to be Dark Brown if at all possible and can this be colour change be done at home and using what? Whatsup brother! Thanks for your recent comments and questions, glad you are enjoying the content and the work! Sounds like you have a nice collection of shoes! As for the shoes you want to change colour, a good dye product called feibings leather dye is perfect for what you want to achieve. they have a bunch of colours to choose from and it could easily be done from home. A few coats of a new dye colour would allow you to change them how you want! Thanks for watching brother Stay safe! G
Mark Sir I was also Curious as it seems no one else has asked but what are Timpsons Views on you doing TH-cam Videos for your channel at their place of work,I assumed it would be frowned upon unless it was your Own Business. Just wondered about you getting into bother that’s all.🙈
Nice Video the editing is absolutely great love the cuts and the slow mo. I would personally prefer less of the music and more of the natural sound of the work as I find that really relaxing and the music distracts rather than adds to the experience. Sound would also benefit from a little more balancing as the volume varies a lot at point in the video. Looking forward to seeing more :) 405

Nice job mate.....loved the 3 cluster nails to finish off the heels, nice touch (Area 2)
Thanks mate!
Just a shame not more repairs come through our doors like that fellow timpson part of the family
They come through my doors on the daily!
New to the timpson company, been 2 months now and still training my shoe skill. Videos have been helpful

I got a better offer at an independent shop, much better fit for me. Cheers

Your 💯% correct ✔
Why do you clip the heel nails instead of pulling it thru from the inside?
I clip them first as it makes them easier to pull through from the inside
The music is a distraction. I prefer hearing the cobbler explain what he is doing.
Di yi aye ? ... grammar check that too ...weirdo.
I rather enjoy the chill electronic music Mark chooses. It's relaxing and what sets his vids apart.

I like to do it this way to save the possibility of staining the new sole if done after it's been resoled. 👊🏼
That layer of cork should have been totally leveled and sanded, seem to me that an uneven layer of cork would feel very uncomfortable.
