@tommy15958 Actually Ole had the book when Crockett bought out Ole & Barnett, he never should have replaced Ole in the first place. Whether Ole would have been willing to co-exist with Dusty as the booker we will never know. Dusty had the power behind the scene in Crockett' org, he invented Starrcade, the Bunkhouse Stampede and 2 other major pay-per-views & had the book for Crockett' group so it was natural when they bought out GCW that Ole would move on. Ole became the promoter/booker for Omni.

Yah that was one troubles of Dusty, he couldn't do the book without putting himself & his buddies at the top of the card. The one good thing ever said about Ole was when he had the book in GCW was that he did not push himself over the rest of the companies talent. The only thing that could have changed history is if Crockett hadn't bought back the 2 hour Sat time slot for 2 million from Vince, that money saved Vince from bankruptcy and paid for the first Wrestlemania.

Ole was an awesome booker in Atlanta but Dusty did basically create the horsemen

dzmatty your correct about this being the year that started the the Crockett promotion on what should have been a great run for the rest of the 80's into the 90's. So much great talent until Vince stripped them all out, Vince took all the best main eventers and all the best of the up and comers except for the few who refused to go north.
