1.Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2.Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3.Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
The greatest victory we can exercise is our worship of the King of kings, the Lord of lords. He is our peace in a world filled with anger, with strife, with self praise and self indulgence. God has designed us to praise Him and to live a life that has less focus on ourselves and a lot more focus on Him. Like a lighthouse we seek after Him and we have our peace in His tower of refuge.
Thank you so much for this video. It makes it more moving that there are Bible verses and words of encouragement throughout. Praise God for His unending goodness.
This is wonderful! So if we want to make it go viral this Christmas we have to spread the good new on facebook or otherwise. I am including it in my Christmas list of music for 2011 check it out! May all the peace of Christ be with you all!
I added this one to my favorites. I have been searching for another of my favorites, but the video seems to have disappeared from TH-cam. These lyrics are repeated: "Heaven and earth are full of your glory" with great clips of heaven and earth alternating with the lyrics. One of the 'earth' clips has an owl winking. Anybody got a clue? Starts with 'Hosanna.'
St. Francis wrote Canticle of the Sun, this song is part of it. You have no idea what you are spouting off, your cherry-picking scripture to prove your own point, which by the way is idolatry, idolizing verses to support your own conclusions. Brother Sun, Sister Moon, this is poetry...What Francis is saying is that EVERYTHING exists by the Grace of God, EVERYTHING, therefore the moon and stars ARE our brothers. EVERYTHING is relative.
It's so sad and predictable - one Christian or group of Christians cannot speak, move or sing without criticism from another so-called "brother." Focus on God and less on finding fault with the way another chooses to praise Him.
All creatures of our God and King, Lift up your voice and with us sing, Alleluia! Alleluia! Thou burning sun with golden beam, Thou silver moon with softer gleam! Refrain: O praise Him! O praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Thou rushing wind that art so strong, Ye clouds that sail in heav’n along, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice, Ye lights of evening, find a voice! Thou flowing water, pure and clear, Make music for thy Lord to hear, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou fire so masterful and bright, That givest man both warmth and light. And all ye men of tender heart, Forgiving others, take your part, O praise Him! Alleluia! Ye who long pain and sorrow bear, Praise God and on Him cast your care! Let all things their Creator bless, And worship Him in humbleness, O praise Him! Alleluia! Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
I believe...if every...single...person...in the world were truthfully told growing up, "There is a G-d, He made u, He loves u, He died for u, He wants joy in your life, He has a plan for your life, & u ought 2 love others as yourself," I'm sure the world would have all the "peace" & "prosperity" it's been asking for all the time. (Look at Rachel Scott!) JESUS is Life! ~ Josiah-David ~
The lyrics of the traditional hymns have forever touched me with their deep theological messages and rich poetry. How can one compare "O, for a thousand tongues to sing!" with "I thank you, thank you, Lord." The two are in different worlds all together.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost
Written in 1225, the words of All Creatures of Our God and King still ring true with believers around the world who share Brother Francis' heart. All Creatures of Our God and King All creatures of our God and King Lift up your voice and with us sing, Alleluia! Alleluia! Thou burning sun with golden beam, Thou silver moon with softer gleam! Refrain: O praise Him! O praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Thou rushing wind that art so strong Ye clouds that sail in Heaven along, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice, Ye lights of evening, find a voice! Refrain Thou flowing water, pure and clear, Make music for thy Lord to hear, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou fire so masterful and bright, That givest man both warmth and light. Refrain Dear mother earth, who day by day Unfoldest blessings on our way, O praise Him! Alleluia! The flowers and fruits that in thee grow, Let them His glory also show. Refrain And all ye men of tender heart,| Forgiving others, take your part, O sing ye! Alleluia! Ye who long pain and sorrow bear, Praise God and on Him cast your care! Refrain And thou most kind and gentle Death, Waiting to hush our latest breath, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou leadest home the child of God, And Christ our Lord the way hath trod. Refrain Let all things their Creator bless, And worship Him in humbleness, O praise Him! Alleluia! Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
I also find many of the old hymns beautiful for the theology in their lyrics. Yet, there are some new new songs that share this characteristic as well. My channel has some more classic hymns sung by contemporary artists.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Tonight (April 12), I attended a wedding at my church. We sang this when the bride made her entrance.
@canucktheclown Who said that had to happen in order for God to have a profound impact? Whose fault is it that people enjoy their worship? Everyone has their preferences and as long as they are glorifying God then they are not wrong. You are not anyone to be criticizing a person's heart or intentions when they worship, focus on the condition of your own heart and let God decide if a person's worship is "manufactured and selfish". Legalism is arguably what's most wrong with the church today.
@timmyrainone Completely disagree. This is an amazing song and I respect a lot of the old Hymns but I just went to a Hillsong United concert and God was present in a way that I haven't felt in a long time!
There is a version of this song that has backup by a choir from Benin. If anyone can remind me of the artiste I would be grateful. I thought that it was 2nd Chapter of Acts but I can't find it with them.
Deuteronomy 23:23-24 "If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city..." The LORD is good indeed. He says its half women's fault if they're raped for simply being there and not yelling loud enough.
@timmyrainone There are wonderful new songs as well such as Hillsong's Hosana, In Christ Alone, Sweetly Broken, Adonai (Paul Wilbur), Ani Shelcha (JAMM, I'm a Hebrew Christian so I include Hebrew as well as english songs), Adonai (Mia Fields), and As it is in Heaven (Mat Maher). I do not think it is right for you to pass such a judgement, when people are giving praise to our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Just because you do not like Modern praise, doesn't give you a right to judge.
@timmyrainone i think it's wrong of us to really judge songs. Who are us to judge whether they're man centered or not? You probably don't know what it took for Hillsong to write the lyrics that they have and then at the same time plan these events to usher all those who probably can't possibly bare Hymns, into a worship that they truly hope would move the audiences hearts into accepting even Hymn songs. No song is greater than the other when you sing to God.
I don't agree with that, i believe all songs written to praise God are indeed centered around Him. When it comes to more modern songs they aren't as theological but rather they work with peoples emotions, we live in a world that people are more willing to wrap their hearts around something rather than their heads. I do love hymns and they hold a special place in my heart when it comes to artistry of words, but i can also very much feel an emotional connection to a modern song. God Bless : )
I agree with you, tek1001....., as the second coming of Christ is aproaching tha Bible said that there will be false prophets, false teachers, false christs, that is going to deceive even the elect. Lets be aware of that today and read the word of God for ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us His truth, nothing but His truth.. brothers and sisters in Christ.
Seriously! If every "Christian" would focus on God, and God alone, and not focus on sins or good deeds or anything else, but completely on God, then the world would be a better place and the kingdom of God would expand rapidly and effectively!
Jesus is God. God is Jesus. John 1:1-5 KJV "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Just becouse our finite mind does not "comprehend" it, does not mean to go with false doctrine that sounds good to us.
I love this song by David Crowder. It always leaves me with a breathless feeling and it just reminds me of how beautiful I feel because I do Praise Him!!!

Everything is by Almighty Gods grace. My worship to the Creator is nothing relative to worshipping the creation. I don't worship the sun or moon. Are you a mormon or jw/witness??
I can't stop listening 2 this sing. I love it so much. Great song for worshiping. I give him praise. I love our lord Jesus. And thanks 4 posting this. God bless u.
This song is of Catholic Origin. Someone ask below "are you MORMON? I don't get where this beautiful song of praising God and his creation has anything to do with Mormonism.
I am in the very beginning stages of developing a website, through which I hope to sell arrangements that I have self-published. I wish I had a timeline for you, but I really don't know. In the meantime, enjoy sharpening your ear training skills and, heck why not... trying your own hand at arranging! All best, and keep your eyes peeled for website development news. I will be sure to post updates on my TH-cam channel page.
Thank you. I look forward to visiting your website. I have been doing it by ear. However, I still look forward to purchasing your arrangements so I can have a hard copy.
I'm simply saying that I find this hymn at its most powerful when surrounded by many people singing it together. I think the state of congregational singing is rather sad today. The musical/acoustical environment in most "big box" churches today is not conducive to healthy, hearty congregational singing, and instead more geared toward the Crowder-esque spectator performance model; having someone else offer music on the congregation's behalf all of the time, rather than some. I would like to see congregations more actively participate again, musically.
I really don't understand where you were going with all of the questioning of my motivations as a church musician. I find it difficult to see how I could have been misinterpreted. I have a passion for congregational music. I live out my calling serving the Church as an organist and choral musician, as well as through performing concerts, and am equally effective at both.
1.Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2.Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3.Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psalm 100, my first memorized verses, thank you.

Allelujah! Praise, GLory, Honor to my God, my Creator for ever and ever! Amen!
One of my favorite songs! very nice!
God is the father of all creation
What a wonderful song! My spirit just loves it.
Thank you so much for this video. It makes it more moving that there are Bible verses and words of encouragement throughout. Praise God for His unending goodness.
Swedish: Prisad varde Herren!
English: Praised be the Lord!
Amazing song!
Good songs

I am including it in my Christmas list of music for 2011 check it out!

based on the prayer of St Francis of Assisi- brother sun and sister moon
I added this one to my favorites. I have been searching for another of my favorites, but the video seems to have disappeared from TH-cam. Congrats!!! :-)
So beautiful, cried through it all..
In swaheali this translates into O SIfuni Mungo! i have to sing tthis in the translated version.
No credit to Saint Francis?
Man, some crazy comments here. Just enjoy the song, and keep the crazy thoughts of rape and the subjugation of women out of it, please.
St. Francis wrote Canticle of the Sun, this song is part of it. +Totty ---people have asked on various clip of that scene, what was the name of that hymn
All Creatures of our God and King
Written in 1225, the words of All Creatures of Our God and King still ring true with believers around the world who share Brother Francis' heart.

I love how st. Francis alone among the saints honors the earth as gods creation

Why is David Crowder credited with this music? This is a hymn by William Henry Draper. Its a nice version, but its just a version.
This is exactly what i needed to hear today. it just washed over my soul. \0/

+mkl62 we sung this in church today!
I love this more humble version as well as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's version. Both are so majestic in their own ways.
This is gorgeous! :)

@daveblade56 God is a man that's why in the Bible he is called the Father and in John 3:16 it says "God gave HIS only begotten son."
this is the best song ever
It's me, again. Today (June 1), I filled in at a local Presbyterian Church. I played this as the Hymn of Faith.
very Passionate and Loving Song!
I have a hard time understanding. It seems like nobody these days worships god. I need help
Nice presentation of a good hymn. Thank-you!
@GinitalovesGOD why does god always have to be a man, god has no gender
Why is everyone so convinced God is a man? God has no gender. durp
I didn't think I'd like this but it's absolutely fantastic.

What words of truth are in these hymns
I had my pastor sing this at my wedding.
A wonderful song for such a wonderful day.
Too bad my parents could not be there in the flesh with us.
In the name of the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit for this wonder uplifting glory of praise! Amen

Saint Francis of Assisi FTW!!
This song is of Catholic Origin. Someone ask below "are you MORMON? I don't get where this beautiful song of praising God and his creation has anything to do with Mormonism.
wanda sherbert Especially since in mentions the Trinity as "Three in One", Mormons don't believe that, they believe in 3 gods who act as one.
I love this song...Alleluia a nuestro senor Jesus Cristo!
❤❤❤❤❤!!!!
I praise Him...Thank you Jesus💞
David Crowder has always inspired me.
I'm not a christian anymore but this is such a good song. Crowder is a great performer and songwriter!
I'm sorry to hear that you are not a Christian anymore, did you commit the unforgivable sin?
wowwow
another beautiful anointed song
Peace
amen
Mr Bean
This text is delivered more powerfully by a large congregation.
Is there anyway I can get your introduction to Praise to the Lord the Almighty?
