    many tv shows and movies were filmed in and around South Pasadena so potential buyers could be lining in or near tv and movie history.

      Yeah! Films like Back to the Future, Halloween, the Real O’Neals, Genera+ion etc we’re filmed down here :) it’s a lot of fun to walk past locations you recognize from movies and TV shows.

    School lunches are the best at the middle school! They have slushies and cookies and but also have salads.

    Someone please answer me this question:
    Why is The City of South Pasadena against the Long Beach Freeway connecting to Pasadena?

    • @livinginpasadena
      @livinginpasadena  ปีที่แล้ว

      The property value of your home tend to decrease when you live next to a freeway

    • @ctradio4416
      @ctradio4416 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s more than property values. The planned route would cut directly through the heart of South Pasadena, destroying a number of historic buildings and neighborhoods (including multiple historic districts). If you’ve ever gotten off at the South Pasadena Metro Rail station, congratulations you are now in the middle of the planned freeway. In addition, Caltrans openly admitted that since South Pasadena was going to be destroyed in large part, that the city would have to disband and what remained would be given to other cities in the area. So yea it was more about the wholesale destruction of South Pasadena, and less about property values as there wouldn’t be that much property left. In addition, for both the above ground and tunnel options, there would be a significant rise in air and sound pollution (the exhaust in the tunnel would have to go somewhere)

      There was also a research study conducted by USC that found that having a freeway so close to schools contributed to multiple significant health problems for those children. The proposed 710 freeway would've run by South Pasadena High School and would've been only a couple of blocks west of South Pasadena Middle School.

    The former Vons turned into a Trader Joe’s. The one near or go grove has switched locations.

    what about how Pasadena private schools compare with those in LA? thanks

    • @livinginpasadena
      @livinginpasadena  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! It depends which schools you’re comparing. If you want to compare the best…Past clients tell me the most prestigious private schools around Pasadena are Polytechnic School, Flintridge Prep and Westridge school for girls.
