Hi there. With the infusion basket in there, I think the Torpedo is a decent still for brandy. It all depends on how you run it! We actually have a few wonderful options for a full copper brandy still. Please see link to the Torpedo in FULL copper if you're interested in it: milehidistilling.com/product/all-copper-8-gallon-with-3-inch-torpedo-pro/ and a full kit with it included: milehidistilling.com/product/all-copper-8-gallon-with-3-inch-torpedo-pro-still-kit/
Absolutely you can. I have a few customers that do this. I like doing dual infusions like lemon in one and lime the other, or maybe chocolate in one and raspberry in another. Or you can just use both for more volume of one type of infusion media.
Hey boo love the videos man and let the #1 pick accidentally fall in a box and ship it to me. Lol. Question how come yall don’t have any size between 8 and 16 gallons?
Thanks for watching, Jay! I may accidently mess up on a shipping label and get one sent your way, you never know! We used to have a 13 gallon but we didn't like the design and when re-working it, we decided it might be easier to just double the size of the 8 gallon for ease of recipes and stuff like that.
@@milehidistilling1 that makes sense. I differently looking at your #1 pick for sure. So what would your preference be for that still. Cooper or stainless?
@@jaybeeman3628 I prefer stainless. It's just so much easier to clean and you can still get flavor out of it well. We've made a fantastic pumpkin spiced rum and amazing bourbon out of that unit. It's all on how you run it.
Loved how you started the video saying you’ve been a salesman and quit because of the guilt you’ve been experiencing. That pieced me off … I’m about to post the source you’re most likely getting your stuff from , so people could see what you mean by “guilt” brother . It’s incredible because you don’t even have to hold the stock. They will deliver free of charge and import tax , to your frickin door.
I'm not quite sure fully what this comment means, but I assume it's a bad thing. It sounds like you got screwed by duties and taxes and are mad at us for it. Sorry you didn't have the best experience here. Most customers are very happy with us.
Ahh, this is Lui. Brother, I'm sorry you're upset that I couldn't send you prepaid shipping label to return your Alembic that you changed your mind on wanting. We discussed multiple options on the phone, you decided on that unit, and then when you got it, you decided that the unit was too small for you. We are a small business and we're not able to absorb the shipping charges on customers returning items in some scenarios. Scenarios where the customer picks the unit out after going over multiple options, then decides it's too small after it arrives is not a situation in which I could provide a prepaid shipping label. I will await the unit to be returned via your label and will get you a refund on the unit.
Finally something on the 53 gallon, nice!
Oh yeah, I was sleeping on it for too long. We have a video coming up in the next month or two with the 53 as the star, so keep your eyes out!

With a 16 gallon 3 inch copper pro can you run two infusion chambers for more flavor in pot still mode ?

Hay Boo. Would you sell the 26 gallon copper jacketed kettle by itself?
Hey, Jeff. I may be able to work things around for you on that. Please email me at boo@milehidistilling.com and we can discuss pricing!
Makes for a good fuel

@@milehidistilling1 im sure if you put the whiskey helmet on it would make it even better correct?
@@jaybeeman3628 Oh yeah, that's a prime add on for it to increase the characteristic of the spirit.
Drinking high proof alcohol anywhere over 120 (60%) is not safe for one's throat.
Duh
You definitely want to temper that spirit down with water after distilled!
